  1. Hey man, get a thousand monkeys at a thousand typewriters for a thousand years... ;)
  2. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm looking forward to seeing the morons from WSI troll this board after this series is over. 1-2-3 inning? Whiskey Tango Foxtrort!
  3. But...but...but...he leads the league in getting on base due to error!!!!
  4. I love how fast these innings go. Anyone want to take bets on whether Hill accidentally hits some one with his curve?
  5. 2 Ground out, strike out, batter out for batting out of turn? Sounds about right.
  6. Barrett should have punched Hill in the face, imo.
  7. Zambrano was occupied with saving orphans from a mudslide in Chile.
  8. Yes it was, only thing even paritially irritating was AJ slapping the plate. Nothing else was wrong with the play. He then proceeded to make a gesture at Barrett, jaw at him, and bump into him.
  9. Looks like Bare, AJP, Brian Anderson, and Mabry are all booted.
  10. Brian Anderson threw a wild one at Mabry.
  11. That was a really cheap move by both guys.
  12. Anyone else think the Cubs will end up trading Rich Hill in a "quarter for two dimes" trade when all is said and done? They've been doing a really good job of it during Jim Hendry's tenure. Juan Cruz, Todd Wellemeyer, Jon Leicester, Jermaine Van Buren, John Koronka...
  13. I love how announcers keep giving this team backhanded compliments instead of outright ripping them.
  14. I'd like it if some one would just hold this team's head below the water so we won't have to prolong the inevitable.
  15. Apparently he was having really bad allergy problems to start the season, especially with his eyes. Hopefully he can get himself readjusted down in AA. He'd make a nice right handed power option off the bench some day.
  16. Anyone want to guess how many combined starts the White Sox' opening day rotation made during the regular season? 152 Go back and re-read that again. The other 10 starts were done by Brandon McCarthy. Because they had a talented and healthy rotation, they steamrolled the competition. They also had a good bullpen (Hermansen and Jenks). Their pitchers managed to stay healthy and productive over the course of the season. Their offense, on the other hand, was mediocre. Their OBP over the course of the season was .322, good for 24th in MLB (in front of the Astros, oddly enough). Their SLG was .425 (11th in MLB). Their OPS was .747 (16th overall). They scored 741 runs (13th) and hit 200 HRs (5th). Why bring this up? In 2004, their stats: OPS was .790 (7th), OBP was .333 (15th), SLG .457 (5th), 865 runs (3rd), and 242 HRs (1st). That team didn't even make the postseason. Just goes to show you the value of good pitching. While the Sox weren't a joke of an offense last season, they managed to downgrade...and still managed to win the World Series in convincing fashion.
