  1. Not to me, it's not. Perez AB R H 2B 3B HR TB RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS batting 2nd 18 3 7 1 0 0 8 2 0 1 0.389 0.368 0.444 0.813 Only Neifi can have a lower OBP than BA. ;)
  2. I enjoy the fact that everyone is pissed off that Neifi is starting over Womack. Somewhere, a sabremetrician is cackling evilly.
  3. It wouldn't surprise me if he got a daily swirly.
  4. I hope a permanent case of laryngitis manages to find its way into the announcers' booth today.
  5. Kershaw got five votes already, so the Reds are on the clock. Considering they need as much pitching help as possible, I'm voting Morrow.

  7. :( Tough luck. Hope he can end up elsewhere and stick!
  8. List of Signees Draft & Follows CHICAGO (NL) Luther Murphy, 1b, Palm Beach (Fla.) CC, 46th round Fifth Year Signings CHICAGO (NL) Tim Gudex, lhp, Iowa Blake Lalli, c, Gardner-Webb Matt Maradeo, rhp, Kutztown State (Pa.) Rocky Roquet, rhp, Cal Poly Jeremy Williams, of, York (Neb.)
  9. I'll probably say Billy Rowell or Travis Snider. Both have promising bats and already developed some command of the strike zone. Snider has a better bat, but has a decided lack of athleticism and will end up at either 1B or LF. Rowell has a better athleticism and should end up at 3B, although I get the feeling his patience and command of the plate are not quite as good.
  10. Uh oh. You know they'll go after Pods. Pods .271 .272 .395 line would improve our leadoff spot quite a bit. Even if he settles to last years level of .290 .351 .349 it would be an improvement. Good Lord! And I thought Pierre's IsoD was pitiful. Who do the White Sox have left in their farm system worth pursuing? Liotta? Broadway?

  12. I enjoy this: Anyone know what happened?
  13. I think they're looking for a combination of affordability and projectability. Most of their picks in recent years have been guys who've signed relatively quickly for a reasonable price.
  14. It's my opinion that everyone else should have my opinion.
  15. Matt Kemp's been murdering the ball down at AA this season and projects nicely in RF. I like, I like.
