  1. Cripes, I figured a night would be enough for everyone to sober up and get bored. Enough already.
  2. I feel like I should do something. But...eh.
  3. And there's your buzzer beater.
  4. What does that make Mike North and Dan McNeil? I liked Bernstein's perspective and POV, but it's also clear he was going way too far afield for a job like sports talk radio host, particularly since Boers left. It's sad, because I think Lawrence Holmes and Leila Rahimi are now the only two people left at the Score who actually bring something to the table, even if I don't always agree with them.
  5. And also happens to be next door neighbors with imb's jaw x-ray.
  6. horsefeathers hell we're all old.
  7. His random fight with Barstool last year was flatout weird (even though I can't stand Portnoy and his merry batch of shitposters), but this whole thing is veering into "Is he okay?" territory.
  8. These are not mutually exclusive.
  9. Ben Brown looks a bit rusty.
  10. Last year's thread. Yeah, I'm good.
  11. I don't mind the Cubs' meh middle minors depth, to be honest. It's not that I like it or anything, but, you can stock that part of the system reasonably well out of the draft. If the Cubs didn't trade Smith and Mathis had a healthy season, I get the sense there'd be less consternation over it. But, we at least have enviable depth in the low minors. Actually, I'd be more worried if there the lower levels were empty, since part of what killed the farm post-Bryant were the trades for guys like Quintana and Chapman. It's not a great place for the farm, but I think it's something that can be fixed much more easily than weaknesses elsewhere in the system.
  12. Your shame is shared, if it makes you feel any better.
  13. He reminds me so much of Javy Baez, for better and for worse.
  14. There's part of me that still wonders what would have happened if CPatt never tore his ACL in 2003, right when it seemed like he was putting it together. It probably would have meant no Lofton/Ramirez trade, but still, if Corey had followed PCA's second half 2024 trajectory, it makes you wonder what could have been.
  15. Tell us more about your points of view on this matter, person who registered for this site 20 minutes ago.
  16. It's spring training. Save your doom boner for the regular season.
  17. It's early days, but he didn't blow away the competition last season, and there's bound to be prospect fatigue with a guy who's been on teams' radars since he entered high school.
  18. Plus, by the time you release him, you'll know if any of the AAA kiddos are ready, or if a trade will be needed to replace his spot on the bench.
  19. All I want to know is whether Joe Flacco is elite.
  20. By "ready", did you mean "ready to start" or "ready to pitch"? Pretty sure it's the former, but your post was a smidge ambiguous.
  21. Aaron Rodgers kicked to the curb.
