  1. Haha. Howard is on the search committe, doesnt sound like his voice was heard to clearly. IF RR comes it will be interesting to see what he does with the offense talent at UM. Mallett isnt exactly Pat White. If RR keeps the spread shotgun offense but has the QB passes more than at WV it should be a fine transition.
  2. Do you know what page he starts on about Clemens?
  3. Mechanics Schmanics. The bat flip people the bat flip is awesome!
  4. Well it appears the Hogs are not too damn scared to spend it on coaching. Their smart. The football coach is the most valuable person in the whole AD. UM is 4th in total football program value and profits $36M a year from it. Arkansas profits $19M from theirs. I dont know if they are stuck in the past that they dont need to pay top dollar for a coach or what. If you are going to poach another Head Coach you are going to have to premium dollar to steal him away. It doesnt make sense for them to not spend money on a coach with all their money and all their future investments in the program.
  5. I've been telling my Michigan friends since the beginning they should hire Grobe. Yes, even over Miles. He seems very well respected. Deacon fans like him alot. If he turned down Nebraska because he needed to keep their assistants that could be a problem with Michigan. Rumors are they are being strongwilled about keeping the current assistants. No disrespect to Arkansas, Petrino is great hire for them. But if Arkansas can afford $3M for a head coach and UM's best offer to Miles was $2.5 thats pathetic. UM is self funding $250M in stadium and practice facility upgrades but cant put an offer of of say $3.5M for the head coach of that program? Fine botch up the process but don't botch up the $.
  6. Not without Harvin using a step ladder.
  7. What the heck got into Detroit. 20-7. They are running the ball well.
  8. Whats the latest on this? A 3-4 defense could be really interesting. How many teams in the B10 play this defense let alone all of college football? This could make NU very unique in a good way.
  9. Minnesota's offense is not their problem. Ive respected their offense, its not to pass happy or run happy. They've had years where they just light people up on offense.
  10. Sean Payton im interested in. Currently he is making 'only' $2M and if UM goes to $2.5+ he has a nice raise and more security. Is he interested in college and coaching at UM, who knows. The only knack or nit I saw on Schiano was his conservative offense. Payton is more aggressive passing the ball, i think thats what UM needs. Plus DeBord will probably be fired with Payton coming in, thats another good thing. Schiano im afraid was more likely to keep the old crusty man on his staff.
  11. More on Brewers search for 3B.
  12. Royals don't appear to be done. Per a report on their website they are looking at Andruw Jones. They arent dont yet in the OF.
  13. It was 34-14 at halftime. They would never have caught the Gators running the football. They stopped running out of necessity. Well no that doesnt help either  JT's 4th down on own 30 was moronic and totally out of character.
  14. The difference in the game this year for Ohio State is they will stick to the run. They ran the ball pretty well last year vs Florida but got enamored with the spread passing game. That won't happen this year. Now LSU has a pretty good Dline and Dtackles but i look for Tressel to try and grind this one out with Chris Wells carrying the load. Last years game had nothing to do with the layoff. The game plan flat out sucked, it was lost on the sidelines.
  15. Oklahoma only by 3. Id be all over that.
  16. If OSU wins or even makes it less than 10 are you going to give a mea culpa. I understand that OSU didnt play the toughest schedule but they manhandled everyone except Illinois. LSU may have played a better schedule but probably should have lost a couple of more games. Just off the top of my head they very easily could have lost to Tennessee yesterday and Auburn and Florida. That the go along with the 2 losses they do have. If this wasnt going to be a home game for LSU I would pick OSU to win outright. I think people will be surprised how many OSU fans find their way into that game. It will be a pro-LSU crowd, no doubt, but not near as much as it could've been against other teams. Oh they will travel no doubt. The question is will the team come with them this time.
  17. If Urban Meyer can run circles around Jim Tressel, i wonder what he's going to do to Lloyd. Lloyd will be lucky to get out of the stadium with his clothes on. Urban is totally going to undress him.
  18. I like Miles for his 'freshness' he would of brought the program offensively and defensively. I could of lived with his crazy game strategies. I like Kelly too. I hear conflicting reports that he's not a candidate and some others say he is. Terry Foster of the Detroit News says he is as of late last night, in fact his sources are telling him Kelly is the next in line.....But we all know how good sources are now.
  19. I agree. Nothing aganist KU fans, but Missouri was ranked higher in all the polls and the BCS than KU, and had a much higher strength of schedule. Something's seriously wrong with this picture. Mizzou shouldn't have played in the big 12 title game. Ended up screwing us over. I'd really, really, really like to know the reasoning behind picking ku over Missouri. I've heard Mizzou didn't travel well to it's last 1 or 2 bowl games. I don't know if it's true. But if it is, that plays a part in it. But it's Kansas, how do we not favorably compare when it comes to attendance, media attention, etc.? It's not like they took Texas instead of us. Yeah i would get the UT pick over Mizz, my perception is KU and Mizz are on the same level. The Orange has some interesting questions needing answers.
  20. Gee, I wonder why is that? who knows, but anyone who thinks that record is meaningful needs to work on their analytical skills. im pretty sure a good portion of those games occured over 15 years ago Really? Then what conference was Florida in? the WAC? Gimmie a break. If there is a Big 10 school, matching up aganist a SEC school, almost 75% of the time, a SEC school is going to win it. The talent in the SEC > the talent in the Big 10. Go check the Big Ten vs Sec in bowl games since the BCS system. B10 has the slight advantage.
  21. I get the B12 was pushing for another team in the Fiesta and why Kansas would of gotten the nod, but i sure dont get why the Orange selected Kansas over Mizz. Thats jacked.
  22. Be happy that Les didnt come to UM because he can't beat Ohio State. nah not really. Last week coaches poll OU was behind LSU by 92 points. Now after beating the #1 team in the nation rather soundly they gain a whole 5 points.
  23. Sagarin's Predictor ranking for Oregon is #5. I predict they get there ass kicked in a bowl game. That team is pretty lousy right now without Dixon.
  24. Link Cool, Cubs will have Beltran Jr. and Beltran Lite.
