  1. I think davis is a decent slot reciever. The 2 TE sets probably hurt his playing time and chances for catches. But when the action is there who else do the Bears have to fill the slot? Somehow im under the impression that LLoyd struggled with Washignton because he was in the slot and actually placed behind Randle El, wasnt he lined up outside in San Fran and not in the slot too. IF the Bears are going to draft a slot reciever this year i really like Dexter Jackson from App State in the later rounds. I watched the Michigan/App St game and while watching it that dude really stood out as a player. I was really impressed at how good the QB and Jackson were for a DIAA team.
  2. Oh no.....Eyre is pitching again.
  3. Rockies announcers are gushing about cubs OBP(8 guys over 400) and their patience.
  4. The Brewers are carrying 14 pitchers? What?! http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/teams/mil/roster haha Counsel is the only pinch hitter. backup catcher i dont really count.
  5. No? Reserve Pinot Noir from Chile, Valdivieso is delicious. Ive only had cabs from Chile, had good luck with them
  6. Thanks for sharing Chiefs. Donaldson. :x
  7. Yeah best start in 30 years how bout that, that hit me pretty good. Each year i always hope they start out like a house of fire. After the Milwaukee series i was like crap, but man they have gotten hot and this offense is deep. A couple days ago i thinking this is probably my most favorite Cubs offense ever, i had a hard time thinking of another one i liked so much. Yes, they will cool down but im loving the ISOD big time on this team.
  8. Details from Yahoo Top 5 to maybe Top 10 draft picks pay scale is just whacked.
  9. Stanozolol is a pretty weak steriod and doesnt have a lot of toxic side effects. I dont know whether he was taking the oral or injectable version so im not a liberty to say the potential side effects to his liver, but even 1 or 2 cycles a year of the oral isnt red flag alert. Doctors prescribe it to AIDS patients because they can be on it for an extended period of time and it helps prevent the body from 'wasting',plus it is relatively safe for women. As a 19 year old he has plenty of natural test and growth hormone and shouldnt need the anabolics. Stanozolol is a weird steriod because it doesnt make you much stronger or build up muscle mass but its one of the few that allows you to run faster or throw harder<---so how hard does/can he really throw.
  10. Lions could go RB, MLB, DT, OG or RT here. Im going to go with Chris Johnson, RB, East Carolina. This dude is freaking explosive and his speed really translates on the football field. He's scary in the open field. Now getting him in the open field with this crappy oline is another story. Hes got good hands and catch the ball in the backfield too.
  11. These(NSBB) are the Best. College Football. Threads. Period.
  12. A Chicago Cub catcher leads the NL C's in walks. Ok its the Soto man so its not to be suprised. 2nd in all of baseball for catchers in OBP and 1st in OPS. Suck it NL and suck it for long time.
  13. Scout has Dan Conner as the #9 overall. The Lions could really use him. Sims and Conner would be close to Briggs+Urlacher.
  14. Yeah it could of been handled a better way. It was a total dick move by the ESPN guy. I can sympathize with a 19 year old Tejada doing whatever he can to catch a break (and how pathetic is it that he had to lie about his age to convince somebody to sign him). But he's been misrepresenting his age to employers and potential employers for years, why is it wrong for ESPN to expose him? I dont know the background of how they set up the interview/meeting. But it appears he was brought under false pretenses to do the interview. I highly doubt they said 'hey i want to interview you about your age etc'. Why didnt they break the story, show the proof and then confront him, that seems more fair to me. I just didnt prefer the style they used to expose him. I did laugh at the part when the showed him the birth cert and asked him if that was him. He paused and then said, probably.

  16. The walks are reallllly encouraging. I know it was 'only' Spring Training but he had low a BB rate then too. Z is 'saving' 2 pitches per inning this year compared to last. His efficiency/control is in essence allowing him to go 7 innings this year compared to 6 last year. His BAA is higher than last year but his OBPA is .283 V .329. His OPSA is .700 V .699 last year. Ill gladly take the higher BAA with the almost .50 reduction in OBPA.
  17. A new draft value chart. This chart is taken into account the high cost of the top picks more and thus assigning less value than before. http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/04/15/new-draft-trade-chart/ Old Chart. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/news/story?id=2410670 New draft chart says the bears would not get Seattle's 4th.
  18. Z 7IP 1BB Those are the numbers getting my most attention.
  19. I read an article that claimed at least 8 teams have taken Talib completely off of their board due to character issues. Didnt specify what flaw(s) they were referring to though.
  20. Ceda 5IP 0BB. Im not planning on getting used to seeing that anytime soon.
