  1. lillys strike 3 curve to giles holy
  2. Ive gone into the cage and had my doors blown away at 80mph. After some adjustment i was fouling off some pitches and catching one here of there late. At 90 i might be able to get those real weak foul tips that would hit the ump in the face, there would definetly be a lot of whiffs.
  3. Not when Theriot's OBP in this game is 1.000 Cedeno would have executed that DP Unassisted to boot!
  4. To be fair, they've had a pretty easy schedule so far. the marlins are supposed to be the easy part of other teams' schedules Yeah and now they arent is good for the Cubs, they may actually win one or take a serious against those bozos
  5. Is that the thing where they point at the dugout? Like they did last year? I loved that. On a side note, Molina just got tossed for arguing balls and strikes. He took off his gear on the field and left it there, while throwing his chest protector at the ump's direction. La Russa just got tossed too. Suu...spension
  6. I wouldn't have minded seeing him walk. Robbie doesn't kick off worth a crap, and while he's got a nice FG%, he either can't kick long ones or the coaching staff doesn't let him kick long ones. They never seem to take a chance on 48+ yard kicks. He wasn't any good in 2005, he had a very nice percentage in 2006 and was just above average in 2007. Nothing special. Hopefully it's extremely team friendly. You know i remember you saying before that he sucked like crap kicking off and i was like 'he aint that bad' but when you said that then i investigated the stats and he does indeed suck...like league worst or almost worst. But yes his FG% is good and thats weighs more to me but $ per $ this is high. With the Bears defense im not upset they dont go for long field goals, i prefer the opposing offense to work their way down the field, so im not to strongly opposed to his lack of FG length. Ive read the extension equates to $2.5M per and there are incentive included in that deal. What those incentives are could be important in determining the true value.
  7. Ok sweet, so Latin players can play in the heat but cant play in front of their family. From yesterdays post game comments.
  8. I just checked yahoo and im like wth....Young againg. Better not be a freaking fastball. SOB
  9. The guy is an amazing athlete. He was a very good pitcher before his disaster in the playoffs (i loved his stuff). Now he is a pretty damn good outfielder and he is playing CF to boot. Who else in modern day baseball has done anything close to what Ankiel is doing. When he went to the minors to be a hitter i laughed and was like well give it a shot kid nothing to lose. Owings is pretty good but could he do this too? Dunno.
  10. hey maybe i should get someone up in the bullpen now. someone should of been up way earlier.
  11. Koyie Hill for Rich Hills personal catcher, call em both up!!! Hahah yeah right......hmmm well if you could guarantee me these numbers would translate for Rich this year then maybe. The walks thats what i care about. Then the K/IP ratio. Im pleased with last night.
  12. Annoying things i heard from last nights Reds broadcast. Walsh pissed me off way more than Thom. Walsh talked about the Cubs league leading runs and somewhat implies the feast or famine principle. Doesnt back it up with any statistical number suggesting the Cubs are more feast or famine than any other team. Thom says at the end, I wish we all had problems like the Cubs offense. That shut Walsh the f up. 40-40. Walsh says something like did those 4 guys teams make the playoffs. hed prefer guys who get on when it counts and drive in runs bla bla. Thom tries to go through the data to see if these guys did make the playoffs, in the end he just says hey it just shows you they are great athletes. Walsh is a blabber mouth at times. He appeared to be critical of the Cubs too often during the broadcast, that was pissing me off.
  13. Cueto is a better pitcher than his ERA suggests. Reds have lost 5 in a row, make it 6 tonight ok Cubs.
  14. Sorry to sound like a total d-bag, but no one gives an F about Spring Training. He's been better than Lilly and Marquis yet he's been on the outside looking in on this crappy starting rotation. Spring training does matter to an extent. Look at Z's and Woods BB/IP. Z had really good control to years past ratios and this season looks good too, same for wood but not on as large of a scale
  15. Pull up a chair, 2 drink minimum. its a comedy out there tonight.
