  1. WTH. its the first inning. does his side sessions suck balls too.
  2. glaus brings his wedge to plate instead of his bat.
  3. yeah and Ankiel roaming around. Dude is a crazy good athlete.
  4. I wonder if FS Taylor Mays will be around late 20's early 30's :D If the crop of S in 09 is deeper than this year, that sounds good to me.
  5. I can live with his peripherals. His ERA and blown save % sucks because when it happens it happens at once. Over more time things should even out and he wont be blowing 2-3 run games. At least thats what im counting on.
  6. After watching todays blown game im glad i took the deal. Ill gladly take the Series right now. im pissed and told myself to not get too pissed off this year. That lasted 25 games.
  7. Damnit, im still pissed. Pissed. I just mixed up a Painkiller, not that i did that intentially....but lets hope it works. First time ive been pissed all year.
  8. I took the deal. Ill roll the nice next year and the year after. I had a lot of fun with the Bears going to the Super Bowl. The NFC champ game was glorious. Plus i need an excuse to party my ass off til the sun comes up. The Cubs going the Series pretty much punches that ticket.
  9. Yeah the last parargraph from Sheehan is good perspective on their numbers, I hadnt paid that close attention. Ive looked at Wellemeyer and the IP/K numbers do look good though. I havent seen him pitch yet though, i want to see him besides the numbers.
  10. i wonder how pissed he is going to be when Eyre returns.
  11. yeah really should i hit the fridge and grab a cold one.....
  12. I wish he'd stop doing all manner of stupid crap around 2nd base to keep costing the Cubs runs. he's still having a pretty good year at the plate. Take away his outs on the basepaths and caught stealings from his OBP and I wonder where he'd be. It's funny, Theriot has become the player that stats massively overrate. The Runs Created formula takes this all into account Theriot is at #11 in MLB for SS in RC.
  13. Henne was considered a late 1st-late 2nd round prospect last year, he thought about leaving early (like Brohm) but decided to return along with Jake Long. This year his PR stock dropped because of his inconsitant playing time with his knee injury and shoulder injury. His stock came back to where it should of been. Henne and Brohm were always neck and neck even coming out of HS. At times he can get too confident in his arm strength but the dude can make all the necessary NFL throws. He throws great outs. He's not that mobile, id compare him to Rex, but at the same time he is less of a gunslinger than Rex. Michigans offense held him back from putting up crazy #s, but Parcells likes the same boring offense. Maybe not an absolutely 1st round QB, but I would of drafted him in front of the other winged helmet QB thats for sure. The injury excuse didn't mean much to me. He played like crap when he did play. Stupid decision after stupid decision. Pretty much every college qb is going to make some bad decisions. By the numbers Henne isnt extraordinarily dumb.

  15. I love the Chris Williams pick, franchise LT here we come. Bennett seems like a solid slot reciever which i think the Bears needed. Harrison was good pick too and that rounds this young talented DT rotation. If all his problems were weed and E then i aint too worried. At first i questioned the Bowman pick, but after ive read 2 seperate sources say this dude has first round talent, 2 seperate knee injuries and lack of playing time caused him to not get drafted as high as his talent suggests, this sounds a good flier to me. If Bowman has a great camp maybe the Bears can trade Manning Jr. and get a late round pick ala Chris Harris...who knows. I like the Davis pick as a TE too, they needed a 3rd TE and he is pretty athletic and can get down the field. Monk has a shot to make the 53 no doubt. If Chester Adams doesnt make the 53 he and Baldwin make interesting pratice squad guys. Barton seems like a guy you put on the practice squad and convert to a RG.
  16. Ryan Mundy (S) got drafted by the Steelers in the 6th round. I know that may not seem noteworthy but if it wasnt for an old loophole this dude would have not shot at the NFL. Mundy graduated from Michigan in 2007 but had 1 year of elgibilty remaining. He got through a loophole (now closed) and didnt have to sit out a year and played for West Virginia THIS year. He was a erratic safety for Michigan (bad angles, poor coverage over the top...must be a Michigan thing), so i thought he sucked. Well he must of got some good coaching at WVU and now he ends up getting drafted. If it wasnt for the his move to ge through the loophole his football career would of been likely over. Now he at least has a shot. Weird to see him name called today.
  17. Adams. http://warroom.sportingnews.com/nfl/draft/2008/players/7898.html snip... Let the lights turn on please.
  18. Latest Bears guy from rivals. Ervin Baldwin. The good: He is a stocky, mobile lineman who played end and tackle, and performed well at each position. He plays with good leverage, comes off the ball quickly and uses his strong frame to gain penetration into the backfield. He is a strong outside pass rusher who wins on speed and power. The bad: Lacks ideal size for end. He needs to develop further hand use, and must add more pass-rushing moves. Outlook: He is one of the most underrated prospects in this draft class. He will be drafted on upside and because of his versatility. He’s a top-175 player.
  19. I dont get the Bowman pick. Manning jr is gone after this year and mcbride will be the nickel back then. Graham is a decent cb as well. i understand the davis pick because they need a 3rd TE but what about more Oline?
  20. Bears have enough late round picks this year. Maybe they get something from the fins for next year. who knows.
  21. crap, i have to go to stupid 3 year old birthday party and will now miss the bears pick.
  22. Boom there is the DT for the Bears. Solid pick
  23. Manningham did a terrible job preparing for the combine too. In this day and age thats idiotic. he has too much talent to cadillac through this process. The Dallas story vance reports is so stupid of him. 2 years ago if you told me Crable would get drafted ahead of Manningham id laugh in your face.
