  1. Lou sure got ejected quick. It was only after the quick hook did he then become really pissed off. When Len said he was ejected i was wtf for.
  2. He was throwing a lot harder than i expected. Good gas. He K'd a lefty(cant remember who) looking on fastball that started in and came over the plate ala a Greg Maddux cutter except Jeffs was 15mph faster. That pitch left an impression on me.
  3. Sometimes I actually find Brian entertaining when being interviewed. Its not like guys who are 'really insightful' give out much anyway. He doesnt like talking to the media a whole lot after the games in his locker, its not like he is a jerk to those guys. He could do a lot worse.
  4. Im ready for a hot streak. Dbax are clowns.
  5. I just gotta say this... Chicago Cubs. Rich Freaking Harden Dream come true.
  6. So maybe the story/myth was true that Shark was given direction on what pitches and pitches he couldnt use? Sure seems with the massive increase in ks is because of some out pitch that he is using now(the splitter?). I never understood that plan/story but i rememeber hearing it a year or 2 ago, or maybe i imagined it, and shrugged it off.
  7. I didnt like they needed to use Webb and Kazmir. Id like to see them expand the rosters for the pitchers. Bring in 2 or 3 more pitchers per team, thats were the problem lies not about subing in the positional players. I dont think its fair to say well they should use the pitchers more, especially guys who are on contending teams. I thought the game was over when they brought it Wagner.
  8. Not that im worried but 19 years old seems young to have TJS.
  9. I like the move too. Training camp starts in 8 days. 1st preseasoon game is Aug 7! This is what happens when the Cubs are doing good. This stuff creeps up on me fast.
  10. Tim Lincecum pisses me off. Looks like a lot of guys here like it, it irritates me. Mike Mussina out of the stretch. Jack Morris, didnt care for his. Mark Pawelek. Just looking at his delivery they never should of drafted him. Jacked up. Sutcliffe. I liked the flick of the wrist. Zumaya. Dude throws 104 and make it look eeeasy. Daryl Kile. I loved the over the top curve. Sidewinders. Love those guys. Dan Quiz was the man. Matt Anderson had the most violent freaking delivery i have ever seen. No wonder he didnt last long.
  11. Youkilis sure seems like the kinda guy that if he raised his average by 20+ points that his ISOD would follow. His ISOD is 'only' 67 pts and his OBP has remained the same this year. Nice spike in power though. Id rather have Youkilis than Tex for many reasons already mentioned.
  12. Maybe putting together the whole deal happened fast but i dont think it was a spur of the moment either. Hendry said they scouted Harden 6 times this year. How is that acting too fast. They had their stuff on Harden and just needed to come to grips about letting Gallagher go (Beane was asking for this all along).
  13. I need to learn how to use my SW from the fairway on like 60-80 yard approaches. I use my PW but dial it down to like 1/2-3/4. Id like to be more consistant with a full SW. Why not get a gap wedge? Hmmm i forgot i had a gap wedge in my bag. From what i remember the gap wedge i have is in between the PW and 9I, im going to go double check. I maybe in line for a new club. I think its the bounce of my SW that is giving me the inconsistency compared to the PW. So if you were to use your SW from that 60-80 yard approach, what problem would you have? Accuracy? Length? Both? The length is inconsitent, i dont hit it as square. When i hit it good and square i get the right distance but if i dont it doesnt go as far or i will blade it more than i would a PW. I can feel the club bounce of the grass and then hit it thin or even blade it, thus its hard for me to be consitent on the distance. The gap wedge i bought like 8 years ago i think is a 48 so that might not be enough so i may need to go higher now that i better. I bought one of the PureSpin wedges thinking it would be awesome to spin the ball, yeah little did i know how freaking hard that is to do and its not as easy as the guys on the commercial made it out to be. #-o

  15. Weird. His K's are the numbers that are the most off for him. Ive read he has played around with his slide grip, which seems odd since it is his best pitch and its pretty nasty. Its not like his #s are that bad that he needs to 'go work on it'.
  16. Try perfect game Sorry, sportsline has the cubs down for an error hmmm. thats a dumb techinicality. i wonder how pissed Z would be if that would happen.
  17. Someone said something about DeRosa with bases loaded. TV said he bats .362 with them loaded and like 3 GS.
  18. Awesome. This is the guy i wished for all along. As i was driving home i tuned into the pregame broadcast and they said 'the Cubs made a move today'. I was saying to myself Rich Harden? Please be Rich Harden, no way is it Rich Harden. "The Cubs have acquired Rich Harden" Hell yeah baby! I love the move and i love the trade.
  19. The stuff i read about Bedard scares me. I wondered why Baltimore was so aggressive in wanting to trade him, maybe some of the things that came to light while he was at Seattle was part of the reason. He sounds like a real piece of work. I know Bradley gets a bad rap but its not even close who id rather have on my team between these 2 guys.
  20. Holy FUBAR. Michigan RB Kevin Grady got a DUI last week. Dude blew a .281. Thats right a .281. Thats crazy...your BAC should not look like a batting average. Now ive been drunk in my life and FUBAR but i can not think of one instance that i would of been even close to blowing a .281. And when i was that toasted i would of never thought about getting in the car, hell i probably wouldnt even try to drive my car to the mailbox to get the mail. In his mugshot he could hardly keep his eyes open. Dude needs to lay of the alcohol or stop shooting it in his veins for crying out loud.
  21. Yo. Rich Hills line. Until i saw the side session news translate to a game i was apprehensive of that report. His latest line is MUCH better than i expected. Sure seems like a breakthrough.
  22. I use my 3W off the tee on 'quirky' holes and sometimes off the deck on long par 5s to get the extra potential of 20 yards if i hit it good compared to the hybrid. If its in the short or heavy rough i dont even consider the 3W and go with the 3H. That's where the club is amazing for me. My 3I is worthless now. I need to learn how to use my SW from the fairway on like 60-80 yard approaches. I use my PW but dial it down to like 1/2-3/4. Id like to be more consistant with a full SW.
