Take that Jim Harbaugh. UM hires Stanford DC Scott Shafer. He's young (41) so we'll see.

Pete is a great college coach but its not like he is totally out coaching everybody on the football field in NCAA (ok Lloyd Carr, but does that really count). In the NFL he won't have the talent inbalance he has built for himself at USC. Hes a great recruiter, thats what makes him so good. Im not sure he will be able to transfer his style to the NFL anyway, his fun but serious approach works in college and it helps they are winning. What happens if he starts losing, Atlanta hello, the 'loosey goosey fun in the sun' stuff you hear about may end up getting frowned upon by the high paid players. USC is a great place for him. If he leaves for the NFL and thinks he can come back to college and turn it on again and take any program to a perenial NC contender he should take a look at Steve Spurrier, it aint easy.

Bowl Appearances. I wonder if this anything has to do with the disparity.... From 1918-1945, the Big Ten did not allow its teams to participate in bowls. From 1946-1974, only the conference champion was allowed to attend a bowl (the Rose Bowl). Yeah probably. NFL Rosters: SEC has 1 more team. SEC=263/12=21.9 per school B10=234/11=21.2 per school WOW. Enormous, gigantic difference. The attendence...that fact alone says it all! :lol: That guys is a piece of work.

I cant think of any. Eddie George? Or did he leave early? It's bad that I can't remember since he was a Titan for years. Yeah he graduated as senior. not sure how high pick he would of been as a junior but he was still good in his 3rd year. i remember Orlando Pace and Dan Wilkenson declaring early and that was huge back then.

ESPN reporting 5 coaches follow RR to Ann Arbor. To the interest of some board members Rod Smith QB coach is coming which means Loeffler is out the door. Mallett probably isnt far behind and if i had to guess is waiting to see where Loeffler goes before his final decision.

Yeah going 6 wide was awesome. On the right i saw a guard spreadout in front of the bubble wr, i didnt catch if they had that on the left where the pass was thrown. i was going to replay it but im stuck in the basement watching this game :x
