Interesting turn over events. He did say he is the head coach and will be the head coach and he has no interest in talking to anyone else. It wasnt a flat out im not going to Michigan but its as close as close gets.

Herbstreit is saying Miles AND John Tunuta(DC now interim HC at GT) to Michigan this week. I like GT's defense.

You're shopping Kelly all over the place! He'd be a solid choice. Yeah. Here's another guy i will shop. Chuck Martin. Martin was Kelly's defensive coordinator at GVSU for 4 years (Kelly came through the GVSU ranks as a D coach). Martin has been the head coach for 4 years now since Kelly left and has won 2 Nat Titles in 3 years, they are ranked #1 this year. A MAC team or similar might think about him.

I was watching ESPN when they were talking about this. Apparently, he found a loophole. A college coach is only allowed to visit a recruit's home once. But Osborne can visit himself while he is interim coach, and then when he names the new coach, the new coach can go back and visit that same recruit. Pretty smart. So now why doesnt Lloyd do this. In his presser he stated that its the right time to do it now because if he waits till later in the year that coach wont be able to visit the kids because he already has. Lloyd. ](*,)

This isn't a slam on WVU but Ohio State might actually have a better chance of winning a Bowl game if they play in the NCG than if they don't. So winning a National Championship could be easier than winning the Rose Bowl. ](*,)

so you're saying that the sec will have 3 teams in the bcs? But we all know they deserve 3 8-) So maybe Orange takes Mizz then with the 2nd selection. Illini have a shot at Sugar or Fiesta. If Rose takes Illini then Orange takes UGA and Mizz still takes Sugar. I dont think its an either or thing with Illini and Mizz.

IF Missouri loses this week this is what i think happens. Rose: Georgia/USC-Why would the Rose pass on the #3 team to a #14 B10 team? They have the first pick because they lost the Big Ten and WV doesnt have any conference bowl in ties. Orange: ACC/Florida Fiesta OU/Hawaii Sugar SEC/Mizz Now if Rose takes Illinios, Georgia goes to the Orange and Mizz still goes to Sugar. Mizzou is going to a BCS bowl.

Notre Dame has been killing UM in head to head recruiting this year so it doesn't surprise me they would make up anything to try to sway some of the recruits. Les Miles will take the Michigan job and Bo Pelini will step in at LSU. Yeah and independant blogger would be making up information about his sources as a way to sway recruits. Killing Michigan in recruiting is just as outrageous. UM has a top 10 class according to Rivals and top 5 according to Scout.com. If thats getting killed then i wonder what the other 110 teams in college feel like.

If LSU is #4 after this week and right behind OSU maybe an impressive win over Tennessee will get the job done. If Kentucky would of won yesterday Georgia would of had a great chance of bouncing OSU with a win over LSU too.

The speculation is the Capital One bowl against Florida. The article you posted supports that speculation, it doesn't refute it. EDIT: At this point, the only things that would prevent an Illinois/Florida matchup would be if either of them makes a BCS bowl (not out of the question if, say, Georgia makes the SEC title and and loses), or if the Capital One bowl would somehow prefer Tennessee to Florida or Wisconsin to Illinois. Ah ok. Earlier on Sunday i saw a projection of UM/Tenn in Citrus and UI/UF in Outback. I wasnt sure how Tenn was getting the invite but i thought you guys were talking about the Outback. Historically the Citrus is the #2 BT Team and UM is the #2 in conference via the win over Illiniois, but from the article in AA news it doesnt look like UM will get the invite to the Citrus or Outback. The SI article Meph posted has UM in the Citrus with Illinois in the Fiesta, going back to the AA news article the Citrus guy didnt seem to excited about UM, Wisky will likely get that invite if Illini go to the Fiesta. BTW Carr is coaching the bowl game, whether thats good or bad.

Now, I'm not in the mood to defend OSU but they are a good team. Eh, I meant exactly as in exactly.....i dont hate the big ten, i just dont think its very good this year. as for OSU. Ive got my doubts on whether theyd finish with less than 4 losses running through say, Floridas schedule. Well Im not going to defend the B10 either, its definelty the weakest its been in a while but at the same time its not as big turd people make it out to be.

Truest comment of the thread. Yup. The only reason i think there is a difference in the UM/OSU game is its the last game of the year and something like 8 out of 10 times the outcome of that game determines the Big Ten Champion and trip to the Rose Bowl. All other rivalries have history and equal deep seeded anger towards the other school but none match the significance of what is on the line in this final game each and every year, thats what i think makes this rivalry stand out from the rest. Its one thing to lose to your rival, its another to lose to them and watch them be the conference champ and earn a ticket to the Rose Bowl (or now a BCS game). Watching OSU celebrate with the roses in their mouths pissed me off more than anything on saturday. Roses, those damn silly roses. And yeah, its all Lloyds fault.

Arod also got another 2 years from what the yankees were offering originally (5 year extension: 8 years $221) by waiting for the season to be over and opt out. In the end they did well.
