    LJ Shelton visited the Bears in 2005 when he was free agent, so there was interest in him before. In 2006 after week 6 Shelton was moved from LT to RG. They moved him to RT this year because they wanted a more mobile RG who could pull. Garza from my recollection doesnt pull much and having LJ at RG alongside Tait or even RT is also a nice option.

    Yeah, when he was talking about wanting to give out a lot of schoolies i wasnt anticipating anything all that great. He did much better than what i would of guessed, a 15-20 ranked class would of been alright. They did lose another high prized Michigan born recruit to USC though, thats starting to piss me off.

    Brewster in his first full year recruiting for Minnesota brings the goods. Seven 4 stars and eighteen 3 stars. In 2007 they had one 4 star and nine 3 stars with a class ranking of 57. Last year i though what Zook did was awesome, Brewster just matched it this year. I wonder what John L thinks of Brewsters class this year, that stupid bastard.

    Rich Rodriguez does well for himself today, better than i though the would. Nabs 3* 4 star commits one from PSU, one from Purdue and another from Florida. In total he accumated 5 4 star players who were pretty much his recruits. 2 WRs that are less than 170lbs, a 246lb OL, not exactly common at UM. Pryor says he was too busy with other things, but yet he was always taking to media outlets about his recruiting process. His dad doesnt want him to go to OSU, he probably does, thats why i think he's putting off the decision. McGuffie is rumored to be wavering, although another UM committ spoke today and said hes still going to AA. Minnesota put together a nice class this year for themselves. Ohio State doesnt reel in a big surprises today, although they still did well. 3 awesome OL recruits. *Edit

    Barry Zito(28) 7/$126M plus a $7M buyout if option not picked up. Why would Santana(28) settle for anything less.

    P/PA isnt an accurate analysis of patience, it shouldnt be used exclusivley. Soriano has a P/PA of 3.67 while Theriot has a P/PA of 3.53. So is Soriano more patient that Theriot now? Soriano swings and misses at a much higer rate and fouls off a lot more pitches. If Soriano didnt swing and miss or foul off so many pitches his P/PA would be dead in the water. How the hell he does this more freqeuently than other players is beyond me but he is 'rewarded' in the P/PA by swinging and fouling off pitches. Theriot's P/PA is hurt because he makes 'too solid' of contact when he swings and puts the ball in play, not because he's impatient. Unfortunately i dont have any readily available stats such as swings/pitch or foul balls per PA, so sue me for relying on personal experience to make this opinion. Theriot's ISOD is fine at 60. He needs to get on base via the hit more. One thing he can get better as is be more consistant at using all the fields and driving it to LF, he goes to RF too much and i believe that hurts his average.

    Ugh. Lou plans to hit Theriot 2nd. Is Dusty back? I saw that. Wasn't too happy about it, but soon realized that Lou changes his mind on lineup decisions every 2 weeks, and sometimes even sooner than that. It's probably less than 50/50 that Theriot survives ST as the 2 hitter, and if he does that, he probably won't survive April. It will be another year of a rotation in the 2 spot is my guess. Theriot, Pie, DeRosa, and Fukudome will all probably get significant time in that spot. Yeah like Matt Murton last year. Was batting #2 all spring, couple games early, and then poof. Theriot in the 8 spot is a good fit.

    I dont have anything to add but the Orioles can go to hell. Not that i want this trade either way but damn baltimore, its takes a long time to make a decision.

    Mallett update about which schools hes got it narrowed down to. I post his because i dont know where to post it, and many board members follow these schools. Mallett's dad speaks. "I can tell you, we visited Arkansas and we've talked to Texas A&M and Tennessee. But we're not sure what is going on at Tennessee because they hired an offensive coordinator that has run the spread. I can also say tell you we considered UCLA, but just decided that's too far away." UPDATE: Hawgsports is reporting he is transfering to Arkansas.

    Xavier Lee is no longer a part of the FSU program is preparing for the combine. He was asked to move to TE and refused. Here is a comment from his dad which is even funnier than X's decision. "Can't blame him, man," Willie Lee said of his son's decision to leave school, according to the Sentinel. "What else is he going to do -- sit around there and watch other kids go ahead of him?" Just because you are 5 star college recruit doesnt mean you are highly regarded by the NFL.

    I took this one from ESPN. Oooh this one sucks for them. The Cowboys just wasted a 13-3 season, which matched the best in team history. They're the first No. 1 seed in the NFC to lose in this round since the NFL went to the 12-team playoff format in 1990.

    I disagree. Green Bay's defense has a good chance of knocking off New England. Green Bay's defense would get ripped to shreds by New England. Yeah. Defense has nothing to do with beating NE, you gotta put up 40.

    The Cowboys were a house of fire early in the year. As time went on, it went up in smoke. The Colts have excuses for their loss today. The Cowboys on the otherhand dont have any.
