I agree 17 games is too long but I don't think playoff contraction is the answer. I'd rather do "Student athletes can only play in 15 games" or something and keep this proposal than go back to the BCS days. Keep it at 4 teams. What's the motivation for expansion other than money? Sure teams like Coastal Carolina get a chance, but it's not much of one. It's not like we've been saying in the playoff era, "boy if only that midmajor got a shot against historically good Clemson, LSU and Alabama teams". Because its the same 3 teams and it makes CFB boring. More teams theoretically (cant prove this until its tried) will redistribute talent a bit so Alabama cant just pull 5 star prospects off their bench etc. I lose more and more interest in college football every year and this would immediately increase my interest considerably (albeit so would Michigan ever beating Ohio State again). Granted I'm one person, but I would say this is the prevailing feeling amongst CFB fans. I'd honestly rather go back to pre-BCS days with contractual bowl tie-ins rather than stick with a 4 team playoff.

It just annoys me because he's supposed to be a team leader...the closest thing the Cubs have to a captain, and he's among the people preventing the team from relaxing COVID regulations. Maybe his doctor advised him not to or whatever but whatever the reason its almost certainly based on false information

This makes me so horsefeathering happy. I liked 8 team, but I'll take 12 team for sure. Maybe Michigan will make it one year. My objection to emphasizing the postseason over the regular season is well documented on this board, but I'm glad they picked 12 instead of 8. I think between the two, 12 is far better. I'm less than thrilled with the proviso that the top 4 conference champs will automatically receive the top 4 seeds, which means Notre Dame can't get a bye no matter how good a regular season it has, but considering the ND athletic director was literally on the subcommittee that came up with this idea, I guess they have no one to blame but themselves for that one. Just join a conference already lol

He didnt You'd both lose your money. I don't know the totals or percentages of plays under center, but a quick google search reveals 13 snaps under center in his 1st career start in 2019, a year after Dwayne Haskins took 0 snaps under center as the Ohio St QB. i could have sworn i read that he took 0 snaps under center, must have just been last year then

Even with all the infield injuries I don’t see a reason to keep him on the roster. Plus releasing him gets the Cubs closer to that 85% threshold.

I think at their best the Clippers can. That sounds crazy given they barely got by Dallas but i think they could hypothetically match up better against them than the Bucks can. While I gripe at the NBA a lot over the last couple of years, I do enjoy how wide open it seems. Would hate for that to be taken over by a Nets super team dynasty.

Have started this road trip 1-4 with a -13 RD. Also getting some 2019 vibes with the 21-10 home record vs 12-17 on the road. But the road schedule has been somewhat tough so far and before this trip they were 7-2 in their previous 9 road games

There has to be a backup catcher out there better than Higgins. 1-21 now with 1 walk and 8 strikeouts. 22 PA is still small but he just doesn’t look good against Major League pitching

Ugh come on Adbert, you are supposed to be our ace He seems like he’s throwing a ton of hanging breaking balls. I’m wondering if he has a dead arm. Maybe a 10 day DL stint may be in order. Or maybe I’m overreacting to 2 innings against one of the best offenses in baseball
