    The ABS challenge system is actually brilliant. Instead of ripping on the umpires for getting it wrong the blame now goes to the players for not challenging obvious balls and challenging strikes. Case in point Happ didn’t challenge ball 4 that was well out of the zone and challenged strike 3 which was a strike killing a Cubs rally

    Yep he’s one of the best in the game. His was a brain fart in a game with several perplexing decisions to not challenge

    Thrilled they won but we really need to figure out this challenge thing. There were at least 3-4 in big situations where we sat on our hands. We challenged 1 call today, and technically had 3 available because we were in the 10th. How that call in the 10th isn’t an auto-challenge is beyond me. It literally scores a run and puts the tying run on 3rd with 0 outs. If we don’t have another challenge because you were wrong, oh well

    Carlos Zambrano is still fresh to pitch game 4 against the Diamondbacks (old reference I know) edit: also they could just pinch run for Shaw if they wanted that.

    So unfair for them to get to use a major league bullpen rather than an assorted group of Triple A players and castoffs that have to be replaced constantly because pitchers keep getting hurt.

    Can we please sit Bregman for 3-4 games to clear his head. We have a strong replacement in Shaw who isn’t playing every day. Who knows if it will help but it will help my sanity not having to see him hit for a few days

    I won't complain too much about the failure to get another runner home this time since the Cubs have stranded the Brewers with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs multiple times today.
