  1. 11 game hit streak and reaching base in all 14 games he’s played so far is pretty impressive
  2. Morel hits a triple. During a Brewers mound visit afterwards, he leaves the base, walks to the Cubs dugout and celebrates with the other Cubs players lol
  3. Not that it would have affected this particular play but wtf is Frazier doing out there? On that 3 run double down the line, I assumed the ball was foul based on the way he was half heartedly jogging to the ball.
  4. The only way this is true is if PTR got a great deal for a refurbished PS4 and a used copy of Tom Clancy's The Division for the clubhouse.
  5. Good for him, go chase that ring! Tampa is a team that could definitely benefit from Hicks but also not be doomed when he gets injured as he tends to do.
  6. Kinda funny...the Cubs are 4-13 in one run games. While talent and ability play a part in it, it can also be kind of flukey. Imagine if they were 13-4 in one run games...they'd be in the thick of the race. We're also to the part of the season where (i think) pythag record has some validity to it. The Cubs are -8 in RD for the season. Are they really a .500 team that's underachieved? By no means am I saying they are good, and really I hate this stupid team, but somewhat interesting to think about
  7. Worst home winning % in baseball: Athletics .280 Cubs .292 Nationals .333 Royals .348 the A's are very similar to the Cubs. 7-18 at home, 13-13 on the road while the Cubs are 7-17 at home and 12-12 on the road.
  8. I can't get mad about that one. It was a fraction of an inch off the plate and could go either way. yeah but it comes while the Cubs are the 2nd most screwed over teams in baseball this year with regards to balls and strikes. Can't seem to get any breaks. But yeah Nico should have swung at it.
  9. I’d say he’s in over his head but it’s his 3rd season lol
  10. This is getting ridiculous with the umps. Nico should have swung with 2 strikes but it was a ball. Cubs load the bases with 0 outs down 1 and don’t score
  11. Cubs are just falling apart with injuries lol
  12. Umps really hate the Cubs. I like to pretend they also think it’s ridiculous that the Ricketts are so cheap so this is their way of showing their displeasure.
  13. Is Suzuki available or are the Cubs just doing that thing where they play a man down for the entire length of a normal IL trip?
  14. If this was a season that mattered I would be so frustrated with the ridiculous number of injuries the Cubs currently have.
  15. And both starters are TBD tomorrow with Miley going on the IL
  16. While 100% true, is there any context for mentioning this?
  17. Can’t imagine this is what they were looking for when they made this stupid extra innings rule
  18. Sox tie the game on a ground ball to where the 3B usually plays, a check swing IF single and a passed ball by our 3rd string catcher
  19. Cubs had 2 flyouts at Wrigley against the Sox that would have been home runs at GRate, one directly costing the Cubs a win. Now Schwindel hit a double here that would have been a HR at Wrigley and ends up being stranded.
  20. And of course the Cubs get a runner on 3rd with 0 outs and don’t score
  21. Schwindel is one of the worst 1B I’ve ever seen at picking throws that bounce. Like it’s glaringly bad
