    On Twitter they are saying his pre-snap read was wrong and he didn’t anticipate the safety dropping back. Which makes sense but there were like 3-4 SF players closer to the ball than Mooney

    Stro gives up 4 in the 2nd inning. Last year he allowed 4+ ER 4 times in 33 starts. This year 6 times in 21 starts. He’s also been extremely good at other times this year but need a little more consistency from him next year.

    Forecast just keeps looking worse and worse as we get closer to gametime. Might be a mess out there. On the bright side, probably not the best conditions for someone who is iffy with a groin injury like Kittle is.

    I have to say that while I know we traded away a ton of bullpen talent at the deadline, I thought at least 1 solid reliever would emerge from what was left. Not that it matters at this point but this bullpen is a horrific disaster 7 innings of 1 hit 0 ER pitching from Smyly, pen comes and and 0.2 IP later its 4-2 with 2 runners in scoring position.

    3rd round pick Velus Jones is doubtful after not practicing all week. 5th round pick DE Dominique Robinson is questionable after getting a full practice today. That's it for the injury report.

    Not including Seiya's 2-4 with a HR today, he has a .356/.433/.525/.958 line over his last 17 games. BABIP is over .400 so getting a bit lucky but still great to see

    Kind of how I feel too. Despite reading nothing but articles about the Bears being terrible this year, I can still kind of talk myself into thinking that if things go right and coaching is competent and fields takes a leap they can be a surprisingly decent team. Don’t get me wrong, we’re talking about 7-10 or 8-9 instead of 4-13 but that seems so much more satisfying and enjoyable. Probably just a homer trying to have hope against all odds but who knows. I just hope they aren’t unwatchable bad like some of those Fox era teams. Give me something to look forward to each week even if it’s Fields making strides

    Reminds me of when Grichuk was sucking so badly the Cardinals sent him to the minors but always seemed to recall him when a Cubs series was coming up.

    Im not shocked. In non-NFL markets they often choose games starring prominent regional college players (like Fields). I remember back when Favre was playing, the southern part of Mississippi always seemed to have the Packers game on.
