    Agreed. That was a great opportunity to have a big inning, no reason not to have someone as hot as Murton up there. But then again, how hot can you be if you haven't faced live pitching in 3-4 days.

    Here is a fun fact of the Cubs offensive woes. The Cubs have hit just 1 home run in their last 7 games, which was Henry Blanco's HR in the second game of the Arizona series

    Now that you guys mention it, it also seems like Lee hasn't been getting to balls he normally gets to. Either his timing is off or he has to make his dive slower to compensate for the injury

    Only two years? I've been waiting for the if's to turn into reality all my life. This rendition I've been waiting 2 years for. I don't recall saying things like IF Mel Rojas can pitch way over his head and IF Brian McRae can take steroids and IF Sammy Sosa could stop striking out 200 times in a season and IF Anthony Young could win 20 games in a row instead of losing 20 and IF Amaury Telemaco can become our ace we can finish in third ;)

    Probably his Pirates helmet and he wanted to keep it.. thus he had it re-painted... (Just a guess?) The C on the Cubs helmet isnt painted on, its actually applied on seperately. Yea, I'm pretty sure it's just a sticker... (or something like that) So he probably kept his Pirates helmet, had it painted blue/red, and hasnt gotten the sticker yet? I dunno. It seems unlikely to me that he'd go to all that trouble of painting it...especially with the two-tone paint job for the away helmet and all that. Of course, you never know with baseball players and their superstitions. My guess is that he just got a brand new helmet which may have been packaged with the sticker (or not) and he just forgot to put the sticker on...or didn't want to for some reason... or who knows... LOL Suspend him for violation of uniform policy
