    A large portion of the upper stands is closed to fans at this point. That's because of construction. I also remember when I was a kid visiting family in Minnesota and going to a Twins game at the old Metropolitan Stadium. The entire upper deck was closed off because there were so few people at the game. I mean they had chain link fences up and everything so you couldn't go up there. Edit: I just saw the highlight with Lee's gamewinning home run. Those sections you saw in the left-field corner are still under construction and fans can't sit there. Can anyone thing of another park that was still in the process of being built or heavily redone during the season? Wasn't Edison Field in Anaheim the last place that was like that? Oakland had ongoing construction during the season as they made an ugly park even uglier for baseball. When Safeco opened, they opened after the All Star break which I thought was interesting.

    so, you'd like the cubs to not win as much as possible early on? Yes, it is obvious that this is exactly what I was saying.

    There is no way this is anything close to a must win series. The Astros were 10 games under .500 in late May and they did fine. Just relax and enjoy the fact that baseball is around. Start getting anxious and worrying in July and August.

    My conspiracy theory is that the MLB is juicing balls in order to compensate from a drop in HRs in the post steroid era. This makes the steroids era seem over dramatized, and makes it look like it was not as big of a deal as people make it out to be. I don't really believe that, but it sorta makes sense.

    Wonder if Ron can tell Dusty his lineup "sounds like a winner" with a straight face today... Then again, with Z pitching, any lineup has a shot at being a winner. As Brenley likes to remind us ad nauseum "if you pitch a shutout and hit a home run, you can't lose"

    If Walker can't hit against lefties, explain why he was left in to hit against Rincon on Sunday night. Then, after he walked, Hairston was brough in to run for him...

    Looks like its 7 games into the season, and we're already going to have to deal with hobbled Ramirez...thats right, for the rest of the year he will be even slower and will randomly sit out 2-3 game stretches because his muscles are acting up.

    2 of the Nets last 3 losses have come at the hands of the Bulls :) Don't overlook Atlanta, they play well at home, Joe Johnson is a beast, and the Bulls came off a draining effort yesterday. This is a definite trap game, and I have a bad feeling about it.

    ^ Yup, look at their best games this season. They've all come when the Bulls shot well from the field. The worst ones like Saturday, they shoot terrible. Anyways, midway through the first, its 18-17 Bulls

    Wait... what? What happened to Ramirez?? He strained his 'rear end' swinging at a pitch late in the game.

    Hope we have Jones or at least ARam in the lineup. Guys on the Score were talking about it earlier. They said Jones is speculated to miss a couple of games with that Hammy, while ARam they said who knows. They'd expect him to play tomorrow, but with him you never know.

    2 questions: Who else got injured today besides Jock? I caught the tail end of a PC where they were talking about a sore glut and day to day. What's the longest a SP has gone this year? Maddux?

    I love living in Wrigleyville... its 1:00PM and I've randomly decided that the weather is too nice to pass up this one. So I'm gonna head over there and try to buy some $7 UDR tickets

    At least you have radio. It's MLB.com Gameday time for me...Gameday Audio's not even an option because I'm in the so called "blackout" range. Thats weird. I am able to listen on Gameday Audio at work while in Downtown Chicago. I don't think blackout rules apply to audio..

    She has mastered that "I look like an obtainable woman, but I'm really really not" hotness for a little more then a decade.

    Depends on when you come down for class. If it's a day class, all of the residents cars are gone from Fullerton because many of them drive to work. Night class is a different story, but that's when you start to look on the sidestreets near Sanctuary and all those buildings because most the commuters are usually home by then. The more you do it, the easier it becomes. Best place I've found is the group of spots just south of the Athletic Center on Belden. People think it's permit parking, and they also think you can't park under the el. You can usually find one or two good spots there. That's awesome. I am going to try that sometime.

    Right now I think its still Kimball and Francisco that are closed. They haven't even come close to my area yet (Irving Park)

    That's always my suggestion. Parking around the Fullerton stop is not that tough, and then just a two stops up the red line to the Addison stop. The only time I drive close to Wrigley and park for a game is when I bring my mom who can't walk far or do stairs very well. Are you sure? I never try to drive to class at DePaul, because whenever I do, I never find a spot. You also can't head away from campus, because its usually harder to find a spot the closer you get to the lake, which is a general rule of thumb from Montrose to the Loop.

    I want the 6th seed. Is that too much to ask for? If you watched any part of Saturday's game, yes it is.

    Its going to be interesting to see what happens to the pen when Novoa is ready to come back and, if all goes well Marshall, Guzman, Rusch and Williams are all pushed into the pen (assuming Miller joins the rotation and Guzman continues to make a case to be on the Cubs)

    I feel a bit bad about how we treated him this weekend in RF. I wasn't that hard on him, but the fans in general were. His postgame comments tonight were about not listening to the fans 'they were booing me yesterday, i was the worst player in the world, now I'm the best according to them' I hope he doesn't come to hate Wrigley and its bipolar fans. BTW, he interacts with the crowd the least I've ever seen a Cubs RF (and I've only seen 4-5). When he came out on Friday he gave a little nod to the crowd, but since then, he doesn't even look at us. I guess thats not really his job to play nice with the bleacher bums, but I figured after his big HR he'd at least smile at our standing O. Also for the record, Juan Pierre is always interacting with his adoring fans. Not sure about Murton though, because as we all know, Left Field Sucks
