What is the restricted list, and what are the rules behind that?

    It's a bad deal but there's no doubt that Dye can still contribute for them. Maybe not $11 million dollars worth, but he has been making like $5 million a year the last 3 seasons so I guess they are doing it as gratitude for the last 3 years. .311/.391/.680 with 12 HR since the All Star Break

    I went to go look for the Cubs in the Wild Card standings and then I realized....we don't qualify for them!!

    If it makes you feel better...on 8/17/03 the Cubs were 0.5 games out of first and just 5 games over .500 at 64-59. We are only 1 GB that team (and tied in the loss column).

    3 outs away from sole possession of first place! Yes its only 0.5 games, and yes we are only 3 games over .500, and yes its only mid-August, but I don't care, I am celebrating if the Reds can pull this off.

    He doesn't. He's not as awesome as he normally is, but he has had some big hits like that 3 run HR off Dempster in the 10th in April.

    Well, that's a totally wrong statement, but he was really stupid in walking Ankiel. I know, thats my impulsed emotions talking. He has been very inconsistent though and bad at times. Excellent at others
