I think the "most games over .500" thing goes back waaay before 1984 now....the other night I read we had hit the "most games over since 1945" mark with the 1930's not far away. I'm sorry, I'm a moron. I meant we are the most games ahead of 1st place since 1984

Oh yeah and we are 24-6 in our last 30 games (.800) Yes we've played .800 ball for almost 20% of the season.

We offically got over the 6 GA bump that we matched in 2001 and 1989 and we are now the most games over .500 since 1984

I think the best part was the Ramirez Grand Slam but thats just me :) Musta missed that, I had to pee. Was it all right? Meh it was ok

He has to get him in game situations to keep him sharp. No one can predict the future. Before the Pittsburgh series he hadn't really pitched in a while. He got work in the first game of the PIT series. No need to have him in there in the 2nd game with a 6 run lead.

You can only see it happen so many times before it's not a surprise anymore. And of course the Cubs hit a grand slam and take the lead. I HATE RAMIREZ!! Thanks El Caballo..that made it worthwhile ;)

This is why I hate when Lou puts Kerry in for a blowout "just to get some work in". Because before you know it, you end up playing a couple of close games and the closer is being used for the 4th straight day.

This is boring. The Cubs are so far ahead of the Brewers and Cardinals, that there is no discussion about this game on their forums. I love going on there and seeing "and of course the Cubs hit a grand slam and take the lead. I HATE ramirez!!!"
