  1. Should be Marmol tonight Pat says he (Kerry) just got up. Smart to have him go 4 days in a row facing the heart of the Phillies order. Ugh
  2. The insanely ecstatic fans should have given it away.
  3. Top of the order (Rollins-Utley-Burrell) due up in the 9th. This ones not over yet.
  4. Apparently according to Phillies fans, Durbin is really good at inducing DPs
  5. Figures the Cubs make their rally when Obama gets on the stage
  6. Cubs vs. Durbin: Lee 1-1 Ramirez 0-4 Soto 0-0 Johnson 1-4 Edmonds 0-2 with 2 BB
  7. And this cant even be a fake rally because its only the 8th. If we can at least get the 3rd run in, I'll take my chances with Lidge in the 9th
  8. I personally prefer the 8 run comeback vs. Colorado.
  9. Madson is a combined 0-8 against the next 3 Cub hitters
  10. This game is definitely not over with Ramirez and Soto due up
  11. Note to Lou.....do not start Reed vs. Hamels anymore
  12. You've been struggling to get runners on all game, you have a chance to take the lead, your starter hasn't looked that good and you have 3 guys in the pen who can give you at least 2 shut down innings? And your facing a very good offense, and its highly unlikely that the Phillies are going to be held to 1 run. Plus with Hamels stuff and the IF playing in, the chances of a PH actually getting the run in are minimal. Plus you have to burn your pen with 3 more games against the Phillies this weekend. There is no reason to take out a starter that has only given up 1 run and 80 pitches at that point.
  13. It's getting so hard to see the Cubs lose, I am going to have to turn it to the Bears game because I cannot handle watching the outs pile up
  14. Chances of Hamels pitching a couplete game just went up a bunch this inning.
  15. 5 IP 1 ER. Why the hell would you take him out? No manager in the game would have.
  16. If we lose this, we are just 17-12 in our last 29 home games. 17-12 is still pretty good, but its not the level we were playing at earlier this season.
  17. Yeah, the Marlins could be the Wild Card
  18. Can't win them all I guess. Would have liked to have seen Dempster pitch well against a good offensive team though. That's the only disapointing thing about tonight's game. But I guess when you make Dempster throw well over 100 pitches in every game even though he's well over any IP totals that he's had for the last 4 years, stuff like this will happen.
