  1. He's gotta go home and take care of his newborn you jerk
  2. Again, I am glad we got that hit out of the way early.
  3. Any ABs where we don't strike out I consider a success.
  4. He's got a huge zone. That certainly helps him out. Instead of 3-1 its 2-2
  5. How come we do that "get dominated but make them throw a crapload of pitches" thing we did to Kazmir?
  6. It's impossible to be a super OBP team when you are facing pitchers that hit the corners this well.
  7. I'm glad we got the hit out of the way already
  8. I'm sorry, there are just a few pitchers on other teams that I just go nuts over. Lincecum is one of them and Hamels is the other. He is nasty
  9. Sexy Rexy just lead the Bears on a 95 yard scoring drive.
  10. It's one thing if the Cubs put ou their "B lineup" (Fontenot/Cedeno/DeRo in RF/Ward/Blanco) against any team, I could but the conceded feeling. But when you put your "A lineup" out against Hamels, your not conceding anything. This feels like a win to me. A late win (say 2 run homerun in the 8 and win the gam 5-3), but a win nonetheless. Yeah if we are conceding games against Hamels before they start, how is facing Webb and Haren going to help
  11. Kinda. This feels like the throwaway game since we have the advantage pretty much in the other 3. I don't know about that...Brett Myers has been red hot lately. I think he's thrown 16 straight shutout innings over his last 2 starts, and in his last 6 starts he has a 1.24 ERA and he's matched up with Lilly
  12. Thats the 11th straight shutout inning Cole Hamels has thrown against the Cubs dating back to 2007
  13. Cole is so good. His location on his pitches is something to awe. 2-0 count on a power hitter like Soriano and he throws the perfect pitchers stike and the whole AB changes.
  14. I didn't even know Sori's wife was expecting.
  15. Better than serving up a meatball I guess Edit: post number 20k!!!
  16. What the hell is wrong with Dempster? This is closer Dempster not starting Dempster.
  17. A first inning run is not what I hoped for with Hamels going. I was thinking that the Cubs would be good for about 2 runs in the hopefully 7 innings Hamels is pitching, so now we have no room for error in my mind
  18. I bet they wish they had an 83-50 record and would be interested in making a trade.
  19. Keep an eye on Demp. He threw way too many pitches last time out. Let's see if it effects him like it did Z after throwing too many pitches in Milwaukee
  20. I miss when the top of the lineup is something like Norris Hopper and Jeff Keppinger. Why can't Dusty coach all the other teams?
  21. Gah...come on Demp. Utley is going to kill us all series isnt he?
  22. Why does Lou keep tinkering the order of the lineup? Is he trying to find one that works for the playoffs?
  23. From a Phillies board..guy is at the game soriano lf theriot ss lee 1b ramirez 3b soto c johnson cf fukodome rf derosa 2b dempster p
