DeRosa leadoff single in the 8th for the Cardinals, who are down 1.
  2. UMFan83
Wow...so who is our long man today?
  3. UMFan83
How about an out? If we can get out of this inning down 3, I'll be happy.
  4. UMFan83
    1-0 Rockies, 2nd and 3rd 0 outs
  5. UMFan83
Pirates had a runner on second with 0 outs, and of course now its a runner on 1st with 2 outs.

So far just about everything that's happened in this game has pissed me off.

What the hell was that Wells? Not very athletic are you
  8. UMFan83
    Strikes please.
  9. UMFan83
I either hate this zone, or I hate this camera angle, because 3/4 pitches in that leadoff walk looked borderline.

I like how we all get pissed when someone swings at the first pitch and makes an out, but if they get a hit we congratulate them for jumping all over the first pitch. Never seen anyone applaud first pitch swinging. Really? I have. Swinging at the first pitch by itself is not a bad thing, but if its a trend that's not working, it can be really bad. There are different scenarios depending on scouting reports, placement in the order, how the pitcher fared against the previous hitter, etc.

Jake Fox had been hitting .179/.242/.500/.742 in his last 15 games before that double.
  12. UMFan83
Ground rule doubles suck. I wish there was a way to change the rule to make it fair. Like umpires discretion or something but that would never happen.

    SOB!!!!
  14. UMFan83
Cardinals just scored. 3-2 in the 7th
  15. UMFan83
Let's call that a virtual tie, as we will have the lead by percentage points, eh? Fair enough. I'll call it sole possession if we lead by percentage points ;)

Would this argument die if I edit my post to add the words "could have" in front of "completely burned the bullpen..."?
  17. UMFan83
3-0 Pirates now...2 on 1 out for the Pirates too
  18. UMFan83
Something must be done about that.... Some guy on vivaelbirdos did that...theres a thread about it there. Douchebags. A Cubs fan has the 2004 Cardinals page though

It's arguably worse to sign Aaron Miles than to commit any crime short of murder.

All I keep saying to myself is "oh my God..." over and over again. Are you kidding me? When I read the thread title I assumed it was like a bar fight or something. Nope he assaulted a cab driver and stole money from him. There goes the neighborhood.

I know it's not football but my baseball teams are always called "CardinalsTakeInPujols"
  22. UMFan83
Thought that was gone too. One more
  23. UMFan83
    I thought that was gone.
  24. UMFan83
    I can't watch.
  25. UMFan83
I'm at a bar and just ordered another drink when I read your post. This is Greggs first save attempt since the blowup last weekend.
