If the offense is operating at the same efficiency as last year, I imagine it will get better with Watson and Rip back. After the first 4-5 games of the year, the Bulls offensive efficiency was actually top 5 in the NBA. Obviously sample sizes comes into play, but it has plummeted back to earth since Rip and CJ have been out. Also, a guy on realgm was saying that based on synergy, Rose has only been an average scorer this year, not a dominant one like last year. If he gets out of his passive funk, he'll improve the offense as well.

How the hell can you be a center with limited range and have a .381 FG% for the season? That's unbelievably pathetic even with the small sample size.

Interested to see what happens when Thomas and Griffey get on the ballot in a couple of years. How can you justify voting Thomas and not Bagwell? I hope one of these era sluggers gets in somehow because I think that would slowly open things up for everyone else that deserves to be in there. It's a disgrace that people aren't voting for Bagwell just for playing in the wrong era.

If Alabama's defense wasn't so completely dominating, I could see Ok State sneak in and steal the AP title, but I can't see voters going against that defense.

I like the move. Maholm isn't a sexy pitcher (you know what I mean), but has been fairly good in the past, albeit inconsistent. Will be a good test for our new pitching coach. Assuming Garza is traded, our rotation would be something like Dempster Maholm Wood Volstad Wells/Sonnanstine Am I missing anyone? Again not a sexy rotation (again, you know what I mean), and it will have its problems but it could be worse. Say, that's a great slogan for the 2012 Cubs: It could be worse! -
Thekapman just said on CTL that his sources tell him the Cubs and Tigers are "down the road" on a trade for Matt Garza. He said the Cubs are known to covet 3 specific prospects, for some reason he didnt name 2 of them, he said one was a pitcher, one a 3B, and the third is Casey Crosby.

This goes against all logic, but I just have this feeling that the Texans will be hosting the Broncos in the AFC championship game. It's like 2008 when the crappy Cardinals somehow hosted the NFC championship game against the 9-6-1 Eagles who needed considerable help to get into the playoffs.

4 losses in a row. 1-4-1 in the last 6. Slide continues. Score 2 goals in the first 5 minutes then nothing for the rest of the game. Goal called off, penalty shot missed. Hawks Blues and Wings in a 3 way tie for 1st. We could easily go from 1st to 6th in a matter of 10 days.

Michigan up 13 on Wisconsin in the 2nd half. I know Wisconsin is on a big slide but with Memphis sucking, this would be UMs biggest win so far. There will be plenty of chances to get good wins in the Big Ten but it would be good to get the first one out of the way.

Regardless of how viable it is, it sure seems by the rumors coming out, the Cubs have turned their attention to a Soriano trade. I would hope if one is made its done over the next week or so. -
I honestly don't think that it will take that long to compete. It might take until 2015 until we are the high oiled machine that we hope to be, but in the meantime, we will get better and eventually will supplement what risks don't work out by a few big FA signings next offseason and the season after. When that happens we'll be in a position to compete as early as 2014. I guess reasonable goals might be: 2012: none, 2013: .500, 2014: competing for playoff spot, 2015: world series contender.

No he was talking about Detroit. The secondary obviously had a terrible game. He went on twitter after the game and saw all the negative tweets towards him and responded with that. I understand being mad and frustrated but come on man.
