In that case you would end the regular season 19-11 (8-10) with wins over OSU, MSU, MICH, WISC (or OSU again) and you'd probably get a 6-7 seed depending on tiebreakers with potentially Purdue, NW, Iowa. You really think a win over Nebraska then losing to Ohio State in the QFs is enough to get in? I think it could go either way. Regardless, this is a stupid discussion. Illinois does have a history of rising from the dead in the BTT though.

Not that they aren't dead men walking, but if they wanted to get back into the tourney's good graces, they have the schedule to do it. @ #9 OSU, vs. Iowa, vs. #13 Michigan, @ #15 Wisky Go 3-1 with at least 2 victories against ranked teams, and win 2 BTT games and they would probably be right on the edge of the bubble.

The SoSH site is getting absolutely hilarious again. They are so dilusional over there its actually a bit sad. One even said that the Cubs announced an agreement with Theo while he was still under contract from the Red Sox without the Red Sox even having a chance to retain him. How the hell can you possibly believe that? Another guy says that the Red Sox as a measure of trust and integrity, allowed Theo to go to the Cubs without agreeing on compensation and Theo along with the Cubs proved to be dishonest and lacking integrity. Basically in their eyes, Lucchino said "sure buddy you can go to the Cubs, I'm sure the cubs will bend over backwards to compensate us as we see fit" as if there weren't already weeks of disagreements over the value of compensation. Haha I love this forum. Probably the dumbest and most irrationally biased forum I've ever seen.

Bulls went down 19-3 in the first 5 minutes. That's pretty much it. Nah. The Bulls at 2 separate points in the first half cut the lead to 7 and seemed to have all the momentum only to have the Nets hit some garbage 3 or for Lucas to make a dumb turnover leading to a fast break and before you know it the lead is 14 again. While I won't argue the 19-3 (I think the worst was 22-4) was a major backbreaker, the Bulls got themselves back in the game only to again be outplayed. The biggest thing, and Thibs had quite a tantrum in his postgame conference because of this, was that the Bulls did not come to play yesterday. I know that's a big cliche (like a losing team having no heart and a winning team having tons), but the Nets were constantly getting loose balls and had a ton of offensive rebounds, especially in the 2nd half. I'm aware the Bulls too had a good number of ORebs but when you shoot something like 35% you will have a lot of opportunities. Face it, the Bulls thought this was a gimme, even Thibs did by not playing Rose despite him saying 2 days in a row that he's not in pain anymore. It just bit him in the ass this time. I expect a fired up Bulls team tomorrow afternoon and its looking optimistic that Rose will be back.

We win. Hope the Hawks enjoyed their 2 week winter break. They have a lot of work to do to make up for that BS road trip. If the last 96 hours, the Hawks have won 3 games in regulation, including 2 of them being against top 4 NHL teams (in terms of points).

Rush back? He could have played today based on his quotes before the game. Thibs went from being the most aggressive coach in terms of players playing through injuries to one of the most conservative in the blink of an eye. What happened? Does anyone remember why Paxson and Del Negro had a physical confrontation? Because VDN played Noah more minutes than the limit that Pax had set for him coming back from an injury. He obviously takes the extremely cautious route when it comes to injuries. I really believe that GarPax had a chat with him and told him that to treat the franchise carefully. So now Thibs is being overcautious with Rose. Maybe they even had a fist fight.
