he had a 107.7 rating in the first game (and a broken finger throwing in a stiff wind the second game) I specifically knew you were going to point that out. My observation was that he was glaringly inaccurate on several passes in that game. Looking at the stats, he was 19-26, so my eyes might have deceived me, but I know for a fact he missed wide open receivers a couple of times keeping the Bears in the game. It left me with the impression that he wasn't as good as his numbers showed. Then the second game, finger or not, he was really off. Obviously my observations, which I also heard occasionally from certain "analysts" at the time, were off as he's a very good QB.
