  1. Wow, I literally gave up on this game and just randomly flipped back thinking it would be like 4-1. ANOTHER bar....is that 3 or 4 tonight?
  2. I'm hoping that by having 5 competent offensive players in the starting lineup, Rose can be spared more inefficient scorer jokes by SSR by the end of the season. I could definitely see his scoring drop down a tick or two but more be more efficient. 23 ppg/ 8.5 apg /57% TS% would be spectacular
  3. Put the Bulls game on and pretend its the regular season. Bulls starting 5 is looking terrific (i know i know preseason)
  4. And that's probably game. Oh well, we've played well. Just don't make this a trend. You rack up 29 minutes of penalties (7 power plays I believe) in 40 minutes and its gonna be hard to win most nights.
  5. Disappointing power plays This feels like a shutout I have to say. And another Hawks penalty...geez. If they score here, just gotta chalk it up to a bad night I guess and get ready for Montreal tomorrow.
  6. Dammit how many times have we hit a post or seen a loose puck rebound float inches from a Hawk stick right in front of the net? Seriously, the puck seems to bend around the stick of the Hawks player standing near the crease.
  7. Really? I've seen good puck movement for the most part and seen some good chances once they get into the zone. Granted I've been flipping from the Bulls game so maybe I'm not getting the entire picture
  8. We are getting quite a few good chances but they are stopping them or we are just missing.
  9. defensive lapse makes it 2-0. We are playing well for the most part but not getting the results
  10. Unreal, another Penguins PP I mean that one was obvious, but so was the Penguin that launched himself into a Blackhawk
  11. Ideally, you toss the guy who committed the dirty hit. Or at least give them a 5 minute major. Apparently you have to lay unconscious on the ice in order to draw a 5 minute penalty like Seabs did.
  12. And the Hawks pay with a Penguins goal. Horseshit
  13. Nothing like getting your ass kicked by John Scott. Dude's bleeding. Nice work Scott.
  14. Wow Iginla....this is where the salary cap room and assets we've built come into play for all those frustrated with the offseason.
  15. Enjoy your Urban Meyer bowl Buckeyes!
  16. I finished my season 6-7 and made it on a tiebreaker, but had the 2nd most points in the league, go figure. Now that Miles Austin and Vick are healthy, I am rolling through the playoffs. Here's my situation. This league starts 12 WRs so it gets pretty thin at the end. I need to start 4 of the following: Brandon Marshall @ NE Miles Austin vs. PHI Jabar Gaffney vs. MIN Darius Heyward-Bey @ KC Steve Breaston vs. OAK Austin Collie vs. HOU Marshally and Austin are locks. Gaffney is a near lock with how he's been playing. It mostly comes down to the final spot. Leaning towards Heyward-Bey, who almost cost me my season last week by not playing.
  17. A few tough matchups in there WRs: Colston and Wallace I'd go with Kevin Smith in the flex.
  18. All preseason games are horrible to watch. The first one is kind of ok because you get to see your favorite team playing their sport, and you get to see any new players in uniform, but it usually takes 10 minutes for me to get bored and turn something else on.
  19. Sorry, I just want to point out that they are now making guesses at who finished 2nd. No one [expletive] knows what the bids were you hack reporter. Go make up more breaking news on twitter like the rest of you guys do.
  20. So the Cubs, when acting aggressively, are unable to compete with the Rangers financially? I know, new TV deal, blah blah blah, but come on. There is no reason why, if they really wanted to, the Cubs couldnt spend $52 mil on a posting bid for a Japanese player. Is this supposed to be an actual argument? You're relying entirely on the hindsight of knowing what it would take to be the winning bid. Ugh ct read the original post before you reply.
  21. Wow, this is pretty sweet. I'll play around with it later when I have some time. Thanks!

  23. Is that new? My twitter says that's new. Is that the compensation? if so, LOL Edit: Appears like it was just posted for me. 2 minutes later, he posted this: Gordon Edes @GordonEdes 15m Reply Retweet Favorite · Open According to @alexspeier, Cubs hired area scout Matt Dorey from Sox, promoted him to cross-checker
  24. If that is true, the question remains, why even submit a bid? The only thing I can buy is that it doesn't cost the Cubs anything to submit a bid, so you offer him a competitive but not outrageous amount and hope that the 0.5% chance that the market was very overestimated and your bid wins. Its possible Theo made an offer thinking he'd have a good shot to win, but I am not sure if that's the case. He knows how much it cost for Dice K. Darvish arguably comes with more hype so the offer is likely to be close or more than what Dice K got. Unless he bid something in the $50 mil range (which is possible), he was probably not aggressively trying to get Darvish.
  25. I need 5.2 out of Vernon Davis Time for us both to celebrate!
