  1. Don't think so. Lose tomorrow and we're 17-16 with an RPI over 100. If we win tomorrow I think we've got a shot. But if we win tomorrow, just win the whole [expletive] thing. As a Michigan fan (and DePaul) for the last decade, nitology.com was my best friend. As of March 3rd, Iowa was out by a fairly large margin (the 6th team out), but a lot has happened since then. At some point this week they will start updating either daily or twice daily.
  2. Just for fun, a couple of other non-Rose buzzer beaters for the Bulls in recent years: Ben Gordon against the Knicks in January 2006 (same game as Antonio Davis going into the stands to confront heckler): (best video I could find) and of course, the only good thing Larry Hughes did in life from the years 2004-2011: To my knowledge those are the only 2 other buzzer beating shots to tie or win a game in recent Bulls history (from 2004-2005 on)
  3. That's almost like a gift from the gods that Howard's off day happened to be in Chicago on a 66 degree early March day. Of course today its much colder (around 40) and nearly unbearable wind gusts, but maybe today he'll be worried about the actual game.
  4. I believe Michigan did this in the 1st (err 2nd) round of the NCAA's last year in a win over Tennessee. Edit: Crap, nevermind. They went 0-1 from the line en route to a 30 point win.
  5. I'm glad I work with so damn many weirdos. I'm fairly confident I'm the only one watching here. You have to have a certain cable company to have BTN2GO to work correct? I remember looking into it once but it wasn't compatable with Comcast at the time, is that still the case? The live feed I was using just went to crap.
  6. #humblebrag trust me if you saw this "office" you would know I'm not bragging. This wasn't a reward as much as it was running out of cube space, so i am basically in a storage room converted into an office. And yes, I haven't received my last paycheck and my boss just took my stapler. OK, I'm gonna save the liveblog stuff for Derwood and just stop now.
  7. Only if Dick Butkis is his assistant and Anthony Anderson is one of the star players. And females are allowed to play SG for D1 men's teams.
  8. UConn choking this away down the stretch. I don't know how I'm ever supposed to do work now that I have an office. Last year I was in a cube and constantly looking behind me to see if a boss was coming. Now I throw it on full screen and just sit back and enjoy.
  9. Just because we're not playing doesn't mean we won't waste everyone's time in here. Is this UMFans first season of following college basketball. Were still gonna ugly this stuff up. Hah, I've been a member of this forum since 2003, I'm pretty sure I know what to expect from you goons.
  10. It's possible that the situation also might dictate when it is ok to shoot. In a tie game, if you leave enough time when you shoot, theres a chance the opponent can get the rebound and call a timeout and get the ball at halfcourt with whatever time is left. If you shoot it with no time left, the worst you are risking is OT if the ball doesn't go in. However, if you are down 1, it doesn't matter if the opponent rebounds it, and if anything you can still foul them and possibly still have a shot. You are already going to likely lose if they get the rebound, so its ok to leave enough time for a tip in. Or maybe I am way overthinking it...
  11. Yeah, he had two others where the other team had some time to get a shot off. This is the first one that left no time for an answer. If you count buzzer beaters for the tie he had the buzzer beater off balance 3 to send the game to OT against the Rockets last year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_V-zqQ8Zio8
  12. Just do the world a favor and decline an NIT invite Illinois. Although maybe if you fire Webber and go to the NIT you can completely mirror the football team and win a few games.
  13. I took the dolphins to win superbowl immediately after the superbowl ended. Better hope they are playing the Bears.
  14. It's Peter Gammons, he's probably just catching up on January news now. I think he's finally accepted that Theo is not on the Red Sox anymore and lifted his embargo on Cubs news.
  15. Well thats his fault isnt it?
  16. I'm not sure Orlando would even do Noah, Boozer, Charlotte pick, right to Mirotic, future Bulls first, but i think Orlando would at least consider it. If they trade Howard, Im thinking Orlando might just want to bottom out and in the process collect all the cheap but valuable assets they can get their hands on. They know they can recruit top FAs when they are available and if they want to make a trade a year or two from now Mirotic and Bobcat pick (if not Estes yet) are increasingly more valuable without costing Orlando anything to hang on to. So I think theyd consider it but ultimately say no. Obviously Jimmy Butler would be the tipping point.
  17. Depends. Even though not having a decent backup QB literally destroyed a promising season last year, I am not sure that something like that happens often enough to spend big on backup QB. But if we do have some money lying around after our FA signings are done and draft picks are signed, I wouldnt be opposed to signing Orton. As long as we keep the amount guaranteed low.
  18. Bennigans Montr Cristo sandwhich was my first thought.
  19. You're kidding me right?
  20. Just when you think they turned the corner they come up with a stinker like this. Not that I expected to beat the Blues in STL, but they have looked pretty bad tonight.
  21. Was this during the day? I can't believe I wouldn't have noticed anything. Ill ignore your first sentence, but there was a 3-4 day period in February where all of the lights were on at Wrigley for several hours at night. That's when the commercial was filmed. At night.
  22. That sounds fantastic. TruTV was probably dancing in the streets after they were given the rights to broadcast this.
