    cooper seemed to be the guy who was down on him the most, but i think it has to do with the fact that they can't get over his rather ordinary history. he's come out of nowhere this season, and that, to a point, i think has baffled them. they don't know what to make of him so are in a holding pattern regarding his potential. Exactly....So far he has an entire career of under performing expectations and 2 months of raking it. I think the majority of these guys wrote off Vitters for good and are skeptical of his emergence. If he can finish the year hitting like this I think they will be back on the Vitters bandwagon.

    This is a good point. No one should overlook that because its huge. The fact that this slide coincides with a spike in his walk rate makes me think he's trying to adjust on the fly and be more patient.

    No, not at all. Just sucks to watch. I think people were expecting a big leap this year, and while there's still time, right now his OPS is 30 points below his rookie season. I feel pretty certain he'll bounce back and put up respectable numbers overall though.

    No, but it is a slight justification to their terrible payroll decisions and the fact that Sale and Quintana are the new Koufax and Drysdale, which is annoying. They have had a garbage farm system for years, but somehow remain competitive and make the playoffs about as often as far more well run teams, which is also annoying. They've been to the playoffs 4 times in the last 27 years. Twice in the last 11 years. Haven't made the playoffs two years in a row in franchise history. This year is rather annoying because in the offseason they got as close to admitting they were rebuilding than ever before and somehow they are going to make the playoffs despite that.

    Both the Bulls and Hawks offseasons have been a giant disappointment so far. Still time though....

    I'm sad to say that I just don't look the way Wood looks. I am certain that if he was on a team I hated I would detest him irrationally because of his general appearance. Anyways, keep dominating and I'll overlook this.

    A) I'm assuming the Bulls cant afford him B) Strangely enough SG is like the 3-4th most important thing to worry about this offseason after backup PG, probably replacing Omer and replacing Korver our only outside shooter.     You help the psyche of the hitters and ruin the psyche of the pitchers. I wouldnt want pitchers running around like they're the [expletive] when their numbers are due to the environment. Besides, even the pitchers are fpr it from an article I read a couple weeks ago and now frustratingly cannot find.

    Plus, if we take out all of his home runs this season he has zero home runs. Not a lot of run production to market to buyers without any home runs. This caused me to literally laugh outloud.

    It's amazing how Trevor Plouffe has come from nowhere to just dominate over the last 2 months. Last 36 games: .311/.365/.726/1.091 16 HR, 30 RBI 72 HR pace over a full season

The Rangers won with a ~$52 million bid....so that means the Cubs offered $17 million? The Dice K winning bid was $51.1m and this was expected to be as much or more. It's makes you wonder if the Texas was the only real serious bidder.

    LeBrun reporting Parise agrees with Minnesota as well. Dammit why did I have to get my hopes up. I was perfectly ok that the Hawks weren't in the hunt for either.

    Minn newspaper is reporting Suter to MN officially now. That's probably bad news for teams in Parise race. Detroit and Pitt have both said they are out of Parise race. More bad news.

    Rammy hit a walk off for the Brewers tonight. The Brewers were down 12-11 with 2 outs in the bottom of the 10th and Ramirez went deep to save the game.
