2011 bears, colts, eagles?, chiefs? Colts were heading downwards and getting worse every year, but I guess I'll give you that. The Eagles season didn't get derailed because Vick was hurt, they lost plenty of games with him in there, and Vince Young didn't really have any less success. The Chiefs were mediocre to begin with and were already under .500 when Cassell went down. When Cutler went down the Bears were 7-3 and on fire. People were talking about them as a legit contender. That changed the whole season. But that just doesn't happen too often where a star QB goes down midway through a contender's season and the backup QB isn't good enough to keep them going. All I'm saying is that its not worth investing resources that should go to other positions that actually make an impact every week. I'd personally rather draft a QB somewhere later in the draft and resign McNown, but again I don't mind Campbell at all, he's pretty good for a backup.
