  1. Someone on Reddit has a someone told someone told someone rumor that Bill Murray has a torn pec. Obviously grain of salt rumor but would be weird to make up a rumor about the injury severity of a Bears offensive lineman https://old.reddit.com/r/CHIBears/comments/1geuf68/close_family_friend_knows_the_murrays_bill_has_a/
  2. Wow...do any of you ever listen to Hamp and O'B's postgame shows on WGN? If you do, you'll know these guys are humongous meatballs and spend half the show yelling about how horrible everything is, even when the Bears win. It's entertaining even if some of their rants are questionable. Anyways, they started their postgame show before the Hail Mary.... you have Hamp talking about how the Bears played awful but is pleased they managed to come away with the win. And then in real time they saw the hail mary happen and the vibe changed very quickly. It's a very entertaining listen in a sad/painful way.... Hamp & O’B: What the hail was that? Bears stunned on last second touchdown | WGN Radio 720 - Chicago's Very Own The realization comes at about 1:16 into the podcast
  3. How is it not a thing? I mean sure pay him for the game as normal but you simply don't play him in the first quarter/half of the game.
  4. 4th straight year of playing them too. 2022 we had a very similar game to yesterday...it was actually also 12-7 late in the 4th quarter, but on 4th and goal from the 4, Fields threw a pass to Mooney that went 3.95 yards and they lost (which is somehow less painful than actually getting the TD and then giving up a hail mary for the L). Last year we blew them out by 20 in one of Justin's best passing games as a Bear (282 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT, 125.3 QB rating....though 15-29 passing 😄)
  5. Yep, I'm not giving up him either. He's had some issues but has showed a lot of promise as a DB. But this is absolutely not an isolated incident, I believe he's had a couple of other personal fouls and some pretty glaring defensive miscues. All things I chalked up to being a rookie last year, but they definitely do add up over time and eventually he's got a reputation for making boneheaded plays. I know the secondary is banged up, but he needs to be suspended the first quarter or half of next week to make a point about accountability.
  6. According to Silvy, the combined chances of the Bears blowing the Denver game, the Detroit game, the Cleveland games last year and the Washington game were roughly 1 in 1,000,000
  7. Every coach has their own type of coach speak that you get used to. If they're not a good coach it eventually gets on your nerves. Flus' coach speak is there for me right now.
  8. Yeah I saw that. And then explained that he was just cheering with Bears fans in the corner, not taunting Commanders fans. So much better. Dude will recover but he'll never live down the colossal f up on that play.
  9. $20 per month...per team. Obvious the goal is to drive the Chicago sports fan to the $300 per year thing or at the very least $30 per month (if you aren't a Sox fan, watching the Bulls and Blackhawks would be $240 a year with the $30 bundle from Oct - April). The problem is the teams involved are all terrible. Maybe if they can't get a deal done with XFinity they will be motivated to put better teams out there to drive up subscriptions to the app.
  10. 5 times in 41 games = a full 12% of all games coached by Flus have resulted in the Bears blowing a game with 90+% win probability in the 4th quarter.
  11. He’s the defensive play caller, not the DC. And sure he gets credit for the defense vs Tennessee which gave him the 7 points needed to win the game but the defensive performance overall doesn’t look particularly special because the Titans offense is atrocious. The Titans scored 17 points which was their 2nd highest point total of the year (believe it or not), they gave up 243 yards which is their 3rd highest yardage allowed this year. The Bears defense were probably a bit gassed with all the short offensive possessions but the Titans plays run is not particularly notable. In no way am I saying the Bears played poorly on defense in that game but the performance doesn’t really stand out compared to their other 7 games (outside of the TD scored)
  12. I mean I agree in theory but I’m not particularly upset about that not being called because I don’t expect it to be called since it never is.
  13. That's gotta be like what the 5th game Eberflus has lost with a win probability in the 4th quarter of over 95%? 2022 Lions (blew 24-10 4th quarter lead) 2023 Broncos (blew 28-7 3rd quarter lead) 2023 Lions (blew 26-14 4th quarter lead with 3 mins left) 2023 Browns (blew 17-7 4th quarter lead with 12:30 left) 2024 Commanders (blew 15-12 lead on a hail mary) And that doesnt even include games where the Bears didn't blow a lead but were 1-2 plays from winning like 2022 Commanders (1st and goal from the 3 in final seconds and can't score to win). They've pulled a couple wins from losses too I suppose like the Texans game with Roquan Smith's INT to set up FG or the MNF Vikings game last year with the last second FG after Justin fumbled it away 2 possessions in a row, but damn that's a bad track record.
  14. I can think of 3 Bears seasons since 2008 that ultimately were altered by one very bad painful improbable loss: 2008 (Matt Ryan leads 11 second FG drive), 2012 (Russell Wilson last second TD drive then gets the ball 1st in OT and scores a TD), 2013 (Trestman tries a 49 yard FG in OT on 2nd down). All 3 of those seasons the Bears missed the playoffs by 1 game. This is how I cope, I’m sure there’s plenty you can rebuttal about those seasons or this game not being a big deal. I get it. Still sucks
  15. Who cares what game of the season it is? We’ve had 1 good season in the past 13 years, and that ended in an incredibly painful fashion as well. We’ve been waiting for years to feel something. We get that something, that one amazing come from behind win we surely don’t deserve but we get it right as we are starting to feel positive emotions about the team again. And it’s taken away in the cruelest way possible. obviously everything is still on the table, we’ll survive and play the next game and it will be fine but that still doesn’t take away from the dagger to the heart that was. Our pain as bears fans is usually a dull ache. This was pure pain. yes I’m being dramatic but that’s how I cope with sports heartbreak. That horsefeathers hurt.
  16. That was one of the 5 worst sports losses I’ve ever experienced. Obviously bigger more important games have been lost but that was a dagger in my heart for so many reasons
  17. Still 23 seconds left lol. Can’t say horsefeathers Daniels yet
  18. Wow. We have the lead. Please no Atlanta 2008 situation here please. If you lived through that you know what I mean
  19. Wow what a break. Veteran call there
  20. What the horsefeathers are they doing??
