  1. Nice PCA! Good work getting hung up so the second run scored too
  2. That was a very tough pitch that had like 2 pixels clip the strike zone, I’ll give him a pass there
  3. Nice job Swanson! 7 more to Presley proof this one
  4. Damn, that almost got far enough away from the fielder for Happ to score
  5. Not a shocker to walk Tucker to get to Berti lol
  6. That was a really good pitch but protect the plate Seiya
  7. Kelly’s GIDP when he was 1 ball from bases loaded 1 out was hit 106.6 MPH with a .490 xBA. Weeeee this is fun
  8. Well we’ve made it to the 8th with the lead which means we either win the game or I get to add another tally to my new and improved “losses when leading in the 8th inning or later” tracker.
  9. Also kind of sucks that Seiya didn’t score on that 2 out double. And that Swanson’s fly out with the bases loaded was hit 104.5 MPH and had a xBA of .850
  10. I get that Jed went after a couple of bigger names that signed elsewhere but the results are the results. If you can’t fix the bullpen after it’s basically cost you 2 seasons in a row, time to find someone who can.
  11. Oh it’s gonna be one of those bullpen nights?
  12. Dont understand, is he hurt? The difference between the 8 seed and 9 seed is enormous.
  13. Oof Workman not even close on these swings tonight.
  14. Busch balling out. HR and single from the cycle
  15. Cubs offense has started out hot for the 3rd straight year. Here is how they compare and how they did in May and June in 2023 and 2024. 2025: 77 runs (6.4 runs per game) - .776 OPS thru 12 games 2024: 73 runs (6.1 RPG) - .771 OPS thru 12 games, .647 OPS May, .682 OPS June 2023: 69 runs (5.8 RPG) - .779 OPS thru 12 games, .696 OPS May, .697 OPS June I know I make weird connections to things that don't have any relationship to each other, but I am not claiming how they hit in April determines how they will hit in May and June, just pointing out that it feels very familiar to how the last 2 years have started: hot offense, shaky bullpen.
  16. I kind of do care because I'd like our 8th and 9th inning guys to be lockdown. Hodge has mostly looked good but gave up the tying run today. Presley has been a disaster and while he didn't make the error and should have been out of the inning the leadoff walk doomed him. If you could feel confident about your 8th and 9th inning guys, it makes baseball games so much easier to manage. Hodge might be one, but not convinced he's a lockdown reliever just yet. Really wish we got Treinen
  17. Games lost when the Cubs have a lead in the 8th inning or later tracker: 2 Games lost when the Cubs had a lead in the 8th inning or later through 12 games last year: 2 Oh yeah its back!
  18. Well Jed is on the last year of his deal....
  19. At least that $20m+ cut in payroll has Tom in 1st place of the breaking even standings.
  20. Seiya had a .543 SLG coming into today and 4 HR, Dansby .512 SLG
  21. Could easily be 9-1 since Japan with a better bullpen...
