  1. I’m sure not being able to get a runner home from 3rd with 0 outs won’t come back to bite us
  2. Clearly the moment got to Amaya there. Terrible AB.
  3. Now to win this game we’ll need a pitcher for the 9th and the 10th. Lovely
  4. Happ does this every year so I’m sure Cubs fandom will take it well
  5. Hmm ok?
  6. The only thing I hate is only getting someone like Brujan back for him, though I suppose at his age and MLB track record it would be hard to expect more. Happy he's doing well though. I haven't followed closely enough, is he getting every day ABs or are they shielding him from bad matchups?
  7. Here’s how the Cubs relievers started their innings tonight before recording an out: 6th: Single, Walk, Single, Single 7th: Walk, Double, Walk, Single, Walk 8th: Walk, Homer, Homer, Single, Walk
  8. We’re gonna go from our starter leaving the game in line for the win to having a position player finish it out at this rate.
  9. Oof there goes TT’s Morgan stat 8 runs allowed in 2.2 IP for the pen so far
  10. You can say that about so many project pitchers Jed has thrust into middle and late inning roles the last 3 years. How hard is it to find guys who can throw strikes? When the pen blows up walks are usually involved
  11. Yeah it's just shuffling the deck chairs. We've seen Palencia for 2 seasons. He's fine, occasionally gets the job done, occasionally extremely wild. The problem is the Cubs don't have enough good players in their bullpen or in the minors, especially with guys like Assad down.
  12. Taillon - 1 walk in 5.1 IP Cubs Pen - 4 walks in 1.0 IP
  13. Pearson has given up a run in 6 of 8 appearances
  14. Maybe next year Jed or whomever is running the Cubs will have a good bullpen
  15. I know some of it is bad luck but horsefeathers nice pen you got there Jed.
  16. The way this is going I expect a deflection off Keller for a 2 run IF single.
  17. From 3-1 with 1 out and 0 on to 3-3 with 1 out and the bases loaded. No wonder this team is 10-0 at home.
  18. Wow this horsefeathers blows. Walk Bloop Hit that should have been caught Walk Dribbler for an IF single
  19. I saw these power rankings on twitter and laughed that 26 of the Cubs first 29 games are from the 9 other teams on this list including 16 against the top 3 teams.
  20. Fairly big earthquake just hit relatively close to San Diego (I've seen 5.7-6.0 in magnitude). Doesn't seem to be any major damage (though its early, just happened less than 30 mins ago) but I'm sure the Cubs felt it.
  21. Had to get though Freeman and Ohtani too knowing that if either of them reached Betts was behind them.
  22. horsefeathers swinging at ball 4 on 3-0 count and fouling out. Not getting not run home might be brutal for us if Nico doesn’t come through. edit: and he did!
