  1. He is one of the Cubs' hottest hitters, but he has got to be benched. Dusty needs to make a statement. Now shoot who is going to play right?
  2. I love the minor league team that had Lawyer Night and all the lawyers had to pay double
  3. Dusty's gotta be fired soon. As soon as any GM gives his approval for the manager, the manager is usually fired the next week.
  4. Is this the last year of Barry's deal?
  5. A bad old Clines is still better than Blanco and Neifi. Clines could coax a walk. Neifi battles not to swings at intentional walks and hates to go to first after them.
  6. Dude, you're making Darren cry. Or maybe Darren scolds Dusty every time Dusty comes home. But Darren scolds him as he makes Dusty a Scotch.
  7. Yeah there is no reason to give a contract to Maddux now. Who knows what kind of year he could have. I hope he pitches great, but I'd still let it all play out. Here's my dream coaching team: Girardi, Maddux as PC, Ryno as HC, Bench Coach is Dawson, and the base coaches are Grace and Sosa (LOL!)
  8. Can Dusty bat? He was a pretty darn good hitter in his day. The Sarge could too. So could Clines.
  9. Not to start discension, but is that typical Morgan or does any of that factor into race?
  10. I am not so sure that Stone thinks it would be a bad idea. Stone has a ton of good things to say about Maddux. Even as a fifth starter, you can't fidn much better. He would be pricey, but price should not be an option for this team. He would demand more than he is worth, but it is money well spent if he gets you 13-15 wins a season.
  11. I'd like Maddux to become the Cubs pitching coach whenever he retires. I'd even sign him next year as a player/coach (if that's allowed) According to Stone, he does more for the pitchers than Larry
  12. Nothing significant popped up on Google when I searched for "Is Neifi Perez married" but I did get a response from the admin saying "What the heck are you searching for this for?"
  13. Wasn't Larussa on the hot seat a few years ago. Can't be too unhappy with him now.
  14. Then you should drink more. Or dance like Neifi. Or with Neifi. Is Neifi married?
  15. That's what they pay him the big bucks for. He should be earning his pay. Stone on the radio today said that he believes Maddux will get an extension soon to held solidify him as a Cub entering the Hall and to get people's focss off of the losing team.
  16. All he did was defend himself. The worst part is that he knows he screwed up and he won't admit it. Just come clean.
  17. I listne to a far amount if sports radio and you can call that whatever you want, but most people want Dusty to leave like a fart in the wind
  18. So did the Astros and that's why they actually went somewhere. The White Sox did and they went to the Series. Not to mention the Red Sox. But we'll let Dusty get himself out of this.
  19. Miller...well he is on schedule for another Tommy John around November 6 if he keeps up to his short-arming mechanics
  20. I've heard that Prior actually died and was buried three months ago. The Cubs don't want to tell because they want to play with the minds of hte burgeoning Reds so hat they spend more money than they need to which will affect them financially for years.
  21. He was diagnosed with a strain in the shoulder, which I believe is technically a minor tear. Hendry would be correct in distinguishing it from a major tear, although depending on the question, it may be an odd choice of words. the question went something like this Kerry Wood has a reason for being injured, mulitple surgeries ect, why is it that Mark Prior takes so long to get ready Maybe he is wimpy. Maybe he is thinking of his career and doesn't want to rush going back to a stinky team.
  22. Ha just another example of the Cubs flat out lying about there players health. I am sure before too much longer Mark will need Tommy John surgery but will miss part of next year too since we didn't take care of the problem right away. And there's another example of craziness. Yeah I'm sure Mark would chance his carerr on that. His dad watches over him and hsi doctors closely. Something was wrong with him, but it isn't near Tommy John bad. I think.
  23. No significant terrage. Does that mean this is minor terrage? I thought all along there was nothing physically wrong with his arm apart form bursitus.
