He was diagnosed with a strain in the shoulder, which I believe is technically a minor tear. Hendry would be correct in distinguishing it from a major tear, although depending on the question, it may be an odd choice of words. the question went something like this Kerry Wood has a reason for being injured, mulitple surgeries ect, why is it that Mark Prior takes so long to get ready Maybe he is wimpy. Maybe he is thinking of his career and doesn't want to rush going back to a stinky team.

Ha just another example of the Cubs flat out lying about there players health. I am sure before too much longer Mark will need Tommy John surgery but will miss part of next year too since we didn't take care of the problem right away. And there's another example of craziness. Yeah I'm sure Mark would chance his carerr on that. His dad watches over him and hsi doctors closely. Something was wrong with him, but it isn't near Tommy John bad. I think.

No significant terrage. Does that mean this is minor terrage? I thought all along there was nothing physically wrong with his arm apart form bursitus.

Don't you have any comfort that your wild tennis serve will someday be harnesed wawy from it's ball-busting state and into a nice consistant threat? My tennis serve sucks. I aint good at anything anymore.

I remeber feeling more rested in the Fall of 04' than I did in the Fall of 03'. Every Fall since then has been the same. Looks like 06' will the third straight. So will the Cubs. They will have nothing to play for so why even try?

I am going ot have a lot of extra time on my hands this summer cause I won't have to worry about watching this stinkfest.

Who is Barett to tell Roberts what to do? If I was Roberts I would tell Barett learn to throw and then tell me when I can run. Barett has been terrible at throwing runners out this year.

Did he really argue a call? And did he really argue or was it one of those where his hands never came out of his pockets.... :P He said in the new conference that it ws a little too cold to take his hands out of his pockets and if it wasn't raining he would have kicked some dirt around. But he would never have spit his tooth pick out.

Is he starting Tuesday for Iowa? I'd have to check, but I think he's out of options. When you give multi-year contracts to players who couldn't cut it with the Brewers, you deserve to be fired. I rememeber when Rusch faced the Cubs I really felt sorry for him. Rusch knows he doesn't have anything. C'mon Glendon you have enoug to retire. Get out quick man!

I feel that Rusch is just about to turn it around. You ever tired to hit a perfectly straight 85 mph fastball and then an 80 mph slider that comes right over the plate? It's darn hard!

LOL. Actually by trading away their good young pitchers they greatly benefit them. At least they have a chance of getting a ring.

I am very glad he changed his mechanics. His arm is too great to waste away to bad mechanics. Wood has always been one of the toughest pitchers to hit. Now he might even have more control with better mechancis. Can't wait for him to get back.
