  1. Well that would be because as soon as the MLB began testing players for steroids, Bonds was using the clear, which makes what Bonds was taking undetectable. The MLB does not and has never tested for human growth hormone.
  2. what? +1. Eh? Case in point, it takes more than muscles to hit Homeruns. how long was Barry allegedly on the drug? We don't know Did Barry use anything other than "the Clear" or "the Cream" for any legitamite period of time? We don't know. So just stop accusing Bonds of everything that you can't prove damnit. Yes Bonds was on insulin, EPO, and horse/cow steroids in addition to the cream and clear from at least 2001-2003, the biggest years of his career. You don't think we know? The evidence is far beyond a reasonable doubt. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/magazine/03/06/growth0313/index.html Yes it takes more than muscles to hit homeruns. But when you add steroids to his already hall of fame ability, you get monster numbers. These numbers skyrocketed after hsi career was winding down. Why did he take them? He was jealous of Sammy and McGwire.
  3. That article really makes Bonds look bad. One the one hand Bonds says that the flaxseed oil and arthritis medication didn't work at all. Then why did Giambi and Sheffield start taking the same stuff that Barry took, the stuff that didn't work when they themselves said that they wanted to take it only after seeing what it did to Barry?
  4. How is that breaking the law if someone gives you something illegal that you didn't know you were taking (in my opinion Bonds knew he was taking them or else he would have sued Greg Anderson because his life expectancy is going to go downhill)?
  5. I think that only Colorado is using one
  6. True, but in 15-19 years Pujols might have it
  7. "...Righhhttt" http://www.affordablehousinginstitute.org/blogs/us/dr_evil_1_small.jpg Are you accusing Will Carroll of libel? Carroll is just reporting on what was told him. The man who builds Bonds' arm pad is lying.
  8. Then Bonds is paying him off. In 12 years Bonds' arms have increased enormously in size. Just looking at pictures proves this.
  9. And where was Selig tonight - meeting with George Mitchell. If that doesn't send a message, I don't know what could.
  10. Man that is the quintessential picture of the ballooning Bonds. Man is his head going to explode?
  11. No one suspected anything?
  12. In '98 were people talking much about steroids? I only remember McGwire's andro (which I hear was purposely put out on his locker b/c he was on the real stuff).
  13. If only 50% are, how is that even? It was probably closer to 80% at one time (note the "+") but that's just my opinion. What makes you think it is 80% It is a possibility, but where is the evidence?
  14. If only 50% are, how is that even?
  15. Stats alone, he is the best hitter in history. The steroids scandal will only make him more popular. There is no way he will be a footnote.
  16. Even if they have more away, which I believe they do, they're still waaaaaaaaay down. And are you really attributing most of Lilly's susccess this year to the wind? I attribute Lilly's success to better pitching (I think he is walking less and striking out more), the wind direction, and playing in a weak NL and NL Central. I'm not complaining, but he isn't THIS good.
  17. Lilly is having a good year because the wind has been blowing in. Maybe that is doing something to the Cubs' power at home. Soriano has not faired well there. What are the homerun splits for the team (home/away)?
  18. I bet Bonds gets over 800 though
  19. Remember the injury was caused cause he was loafing and then decided to hustle. Unfortunately it was one of the only times I saw Ram loaf. He has hustled a bunch more this season.
  20. Ask Koyie Hill what the difference is between AAA pitching (.325 average) and big league pitching (.173 or so). Why would Soto be different?
  21. Pagan didn't know how many outs there were a few innings ago. Jones, Pagan, and Soriano have no baseball instincts.
  22. Man, before today he had the second best ERA in the pen besides Marmol. Man he sucks! Piniella should have pitched Wood. You don't pitch closers in non-save situations if you don't have to. Maybe he was cramped. Start stocking Midol in the dugout for him and Z.
  23. I am not disputing that Barrett/Lou's tirade effected the Cubs, but every Cub player I heard interviewed said those two things had nothing to do with it. Or maybe they just don't want to admit it because they are professional athletes who can do it themselves.
