The offense deserves a ton of blame, no doubt, but Lou is a moron for yanking Zambrano when he did. There were some hard hit balls, but in the playoffs you have to score when runners get in scoring position -

What is OPS + again? I like De Rosa's personality too. Although winning surely makes for a good clubhouse, this team is certainly more likable than 2003. The comments Blanco made after not making the first round roster are an example.

Wasn't he benched for a while towards the beginning of the summer when his average was in the low .200s? Then Fontenot came up.

I think the 2003 team was better. You had speed at the top (Soriano can't run now) and plenty of pop. This team is better balanced, but power is important. Miller I believe had the best caught stealing % in the league even though he couldn't hit. 2003 had better starters, but 2007 has a great pen outside of Dempster. Man I am scared of him in the 9th. But with 2007, they had the magic until game 6.
