  1. When Big Papi played with Boston and played over 80 games a year he averaged 17 homers and 75 rbi. Since he went to Boston, well yes I would certainly call his Minnesota years nondescript because he averaged 40 homers and 125 rbi's. His OPS went up 200 points when he went to Boston. He was an average to below average infielder/DH in Minnesota.
  2. He said he might have taken them in the Dominican because who knows what was put in his protein shakes. It sounded like he took them when he was young and in the minors. Did he body get big between his Twins and Red Sox offseason? I don't think he was covering himself as much as he was saying that he doesn't know everything that he takes in and he thinks Barry might not have either. The problem is that Barry certainly did. But HGH was not illegal. So if Barry took them and that is proven what could possibly happen to him besides him getting an even worse name?
  3. At all times except in front of Congress
  4. That's what happened to me. I caught the fourth quarter of the Dallas/Golden State game on Tuesday.
  5. I heard a quote from Marquis on how he changed his delivery this year and never felt comfortable last year. I am not sure if Larry helped him out, but whatever he is doing seems to be working. Unfortunately, Marquis is a good first half pitcher and a terrible second half one. Let's hope he can keep this up (I'd take a 4.00 ERA at the end) well into the season.
  6. If it was one of those tow trucks that has the tower in the back as opposed to a flatbed that would do more damage wouldn't it?
  7. Is Noc going to start as a number 4 now?
  8. Wow that is one of the worst car crashes I have seen
  9. I don't know if hitting him 8th is such a good idea. He won't see many good pitches. A veteran might better hit there.
  10. Prior for 2004-2005: 17-11 with an ERA around 4.00
  11. The Heat themselves were down 2-0 in the Finals last year and came back. I have never contradicted myself in a post like this before.
  12. Was it as loud as it sounded on tv when they were saying "Posey sucks!"? Even Albert and Kerr mentioned it (they wouldn't say the word "suck" though")
  13. I'm not so sure of that. Overall they shot pretty poorly in Game 1 and still won pretty soundly. I think the Bulls are deep enough and good enough to win without a bigtime post up threat. Even if a couple guys are having an off night, we have players who can step in. They didn't win soundly. They were up 1 with under a minute to go.
  14. The Bulls cooled off what everyone, even Skiles, thought would be an inevitable Heat run. I have never seen a team win so soundly without having any real offensive paint presence. That will be their stumbling block on a night where they arent shooting good. The Bulls work hard, but their shots aren't easy ones like Shaq's are.
  15. 95% of the teams win the series if they win the first two playoff games
  16. Albert and Kerr said that Riley doesn't like to make excuses. He sure didn't get hsi point across to the team. Great job on defense tonight by Wallace. Shaq has really been shut down in both second halves which is a big part of the Bulls' success. I like Sefolosha more and more everyday.
  17. The Cubs don't believe they have faith in their farm system? How about they don't know how to groom young players. They can't evaluate talent. With that said the Cubs got Lee, Ramirez, and Barrett by giving up prospects.
  18. That's the right move there. That no-foul call when Gordon shot was just embarassing for the refs. The Bulls got a bunch more calls than the Heat did
  19. Downey made it seem like Sammy didn't forget how to understand and speak English on Capitol Hill
  20. Ron would have died if he was at game 6. Steve Stone filled in for him.
  21. Hughes' work has earned him the Illinois Sportscaster of the Year award in 1996, 1999, and 2006 I found out
