  1. the park certainly helped, but he was still really good. he's shown he can get hot and putu p big numbers. the problem is, most years he doesn't get that hot. also, iirc milton had a ridiculous babip last season I do think there is something to the whole "contract year" phenomenon. Not just with Milton, but with tons of other guys as well. There is not.
  2. You didn't seem to put a lot of stock in those a couple weeks back.
  3. Zambrano would absolutely waive his NTC to go play for Guillen. And that trade(which I don't buy for a second) would be an absurd heist for the Cubs.
  4. I would say there was a very little chance of a BCS bowl before the season started. You either don't know how the BCS works, or haven't seen ND's schedule.
  5. This is absolutely the right decision. Of course, I think there were rumblings of unrest with Upton in Tampa, so I'm sure Hendry won't even bother looking.
  6. Name sounds familiar, where he did he play college ball? you're not catching me in some undeclared homerism. Note I said "my boy". Yeah I know, you talk more about him than you do Ty Cobb. It's tiresome.
  7. So you're content going into next season with Milton as the RF? You think this situation will get better by then, and not worse? Come on.... it's time to move on. Milton is basically begging to leave, and you still want him to stay? This situation is not salvageable. I don't know how you can think that it is. No at this point it's obvious that it won't work out. It's just [expletive] sad how it's all turned out. Piniella was the wrong manager for Bradley(amazingly Dusty would be ideal). Maybe a lot more has gone on behind the scenes, and maybe they kept reaching out to Milton, but it just seems a simple private sit down with Bradley, tell him not to talk the media, whatever would've done the job. It greatly disturbs me that the stated reasons for Bradley's suspension is the way he makes the media and fans feel. As for the player reactions, I think this is getting overblown. I don't expect a Cubs employee to back the guy who was just suspended. Of course nobody really seemed like friends with Bradley, so I guess they wouldn't have a lot of motivation if that wasn't the case. I mean honestly, what's the worst that he could've affected the other players? A bunch of questions about him from the media. I'm sure that's why Geo's struggled this year.
  8. Name sounds familiar, where he did he play college ball?
  9. Why are all rules off when it comes to Milton? Was the A's team he was on just that incredible that it managed to make it the playoffs with him? How bout the Dodgers in '04? Milton's probably an [expletive], and unbalanced. What this has to do with his ability as a baseball player is beyond me. The fact that he made you and other Cubs fans sad by telling them they were hateful idiots doesn't change the fact that he's likely to be a good player next year.
  10. At least the fans will like Tyler and his can-do attitude and inability to take a walk.
  11. meaning: people who disagree with you right? Meaning [expletive] morons who cite batting average and RBI. And yeah, my racist accusation was really [expletive] dumb.
  12. I'm gonna stay out of this for my own mental health. People who hate Bradley are at least partially racist, and at least partially don't know anything about baseball.
  13. I've only seen about 4 games he's head coached and I've already seen him lose his cool more times than the rest of the coaches I've seen combined. When his team doesn't perform well he takes it with the grace of a 5 year old. Following Bill Callahan that's kinda funny.
  14. Inflammation in his knee.
  15. Sticking with that fake injury story to be dramatic.
  16. I had just texted my friend that this was game over without a turnover.
  17. It was overthrown, but the WR stopped running, he still coulda caught that easily.
  18. Bo Pelini looks like a real backwoods hick.
  19. Oh, Pat Haden likes using timeouts on defense when you're down at the end of the game. TELL ME MORE PAT!!
  20. you can see their fans storm the field, followed by Coach Beamer regulating on some fans who were getting too close during the interview If that WR wasn't white, Nebraska might've had enough time to come back.
  21. Awesome, ESPN360 has DVR so I can see the Va Tech ending.
  22. I ALREADY [expletive] TOLD YOU.
