    That's what I was thinking. This season really killed you guys this much by being in 1st place as late as August? And on the miserable to root for, this team isn't in the same galaxy as '04. I really don't understand. I think it's right there with '04, but neither of those compares to '05 and '06. Well I meant the more, I hate these [expletive] and the way they act(i.e. Moises Alou) But yeah, if you didn't flinch during the [expletive] parade that was the '06 season, how the hell do you give up this year?

    More like 180. I'm fine stretching him out, but I'd say a 60 innings jump(and ~50 over his career high) is enough for me.

    Was Bud Black manager in SD when he had to restrain Bradley from attacking an ump and Bradley ended up twisting his knee or something? I doubt he wants to go through any of that again. Obviously it was a racist ump. To be fair, even the first base coach said that the umpire instigated that. And Bradley actually tore his ACL doing that. Even MLB said the umpire instigated that, fining or suspending him or something.

    I don't know how accurate these numbers are, but 56% is pretty close to 50%. You're looking at 2008. It's ~2/3 in '09

    Cleveland was one of the teams Bradley was actually run off from.

    I don't think that is it at all. I think most people see think the racism excuse is a cop out. I don't for a second doubt that Bradley was subject to some racism. What he said. Where in Chicago did you live? I grew up in the NW suburbs. Well no wonder you never saw racism, the people you grew up with have never seen a black person.

    You don't think there's an actual reason they suspended Bradley and not Zambrano? Or do you think they just did it on a whim? I'm not sure what you're trying to prove here. That Zambrano gets unjustified preferential treatment over Bradley? I think his point is that people are acting like Bradley eats babies from his actions in public.

    Yeah, I doubt somebody directly taunted his 3 year old child. It's possible that somebody taunted Bradley while his child was there, or that somebody made general racial remarks (not necessarily about Bradley) while his kid was there. Chicago's not Boston, but it's pretty damn racist.

    Why does it matter? No sense throwing Lilly out there and taking a chance of something bad happening. Let the kids play the rest of the year It seems as though they are auditioning guys for the 5th rotation spot to see if its worth re signing Harden in the off season. While Harden is beter than Marshall, Gorzolanny, and certainly Shark, is he really worth the 10-11 mil hed probably end up getting? Yes. Especially if it's a one year deal.

    Let me be the first to call BS on this one. I don't deny that racism still exists, but I can't possibly imagine a racial slur against a 3-year old kid. It's secondhand info from his mom. The fact that Bradley never mentioned it makes me question it as well.

    To hear people in Houston talk about it, Wade is a puppet who basically does whatever Tal Smith and McClane tell him to. Think Jim Duquette in New York.

    The question is: what would be the purpose of that? If indeed Bradley refused to play when asked to, such a grievance could backfire easily. And the fact that the Cubs are probably still going to pay him during the suspension. It seems to me that they were doing him a favor by suspending him and not placing him on the DL, due to the clause in his contract regarding his option vesting in 2011. The union wants to make sure he does get paid, which its been rumored they're considering not doing.

    He was very upfront about how bad he was doing when he started so cold. He also said the majority of the fans had been great to him.
