Pretty darn close. 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009. Red Sox are 9-1 against the Angels in three previous years with two sweeps. Angels have to feel like they're reliving the same bad dream every year. That's not even mentioning Donnie Moore.
Agreed. We'd have either received draft picks or (more likely) had Kerry Wood for one year as a decent closer, which in turn means no Kevin Gregg, and possibly no big contract for Dempster putting us in better financial shape this year
mauer should and will win it. but jeter winning it wouldn't be near the tragedy you're making it out to be. agreed. i don't like the yankees at all but jeter has been outstanding this season, and if he wins it over mauer, i'll just consider that an evening of the score from when morneau undeservedly beat out jeter in 2006. Mauer should've won it in '06.
I don't buy Egwu to Purdue at all, unless we've softened on him and are aiming higher(say Johnson out in CA) Regarding Jordan, there were some tweets hinting towards it yesterday from Jordan and Keller, but I didn't want to be that guy.
I mainly thought it was an interesting way to view things within the scope of the entire NCAA era rather than just the 64 team era. For example if you asked the average fan who's had a better history between UConn and Cincinatti or Georgetown and Iowa or Illinois and Wake Forest, you'd likely get the wrong answer.
You liked Calathes? Meh. Blair for me. Ellington would have worked. I didn't actually remember that, was just looking to see if I wanted Calathes before the draft. I also threw Sam Young's name out there back then.
Not a big Joe Buck fan, but at least he's a technically competent broadcaster. He's still a smarmy doucherocket, though. At least Chip Caray actually likes the game of baseball.
All it's doing is rating how teams have done over 72 years. What's so hard to understand that Illinois was a superior program to Duke for like the first 50 years of the rankings? Should I be jealous of San Francisco's history?

It absolutely won't be 3-6. My expectations are so low right now, that I'd probably be relieved if it's less than 3/12. I'm expecting 3/14 with bonuses for games finished(a Hendry relief contract staple)
