  1. Hester's ass shot.
  2. You want to punt from the 30? Were they on the 30? I was thinking they were farther back than that. Well then I would have been in favor of going for it. Kicking at Goulds limit, on this [expletive] field, isnt a good combo. He'd already hit one from farther out tonight.
  3. Wait, why did we accept that penalty? I'd take 2nd and 10 over 1st and 15.
  4. Most coaches seem to have no concept of when to go for 2.
  5. They probably won't, but they should. No, they really shouldn't. You don't get offered a month of practice to help develop players and just say "no thanks". not to mention the money that the school gets from the bowl game can go to other athletic programs, and you'd be turning down a bowl in the midwest that your fans could very easily go to. plus they'd be filling up a stadium in a region where the economy is in the toilet. but by all means, turn it down because it's "below notre dame football" to play in that bowl. Plus giving the departing seniors to go out with a win (in front of mostly their own fans) I didn't agree with it when they turned down a bowl in Holtz's last year, and I don't agree with it now.
  6. Kansas St. player kicks Dayton player in the head while he lies on the ground. Frank Martin everybody.
  7. Our best chance is if Halladay limits the teams he can be traded to like Santana did.
  8. Did we have to add Diamond to the 40-man in order to protect him from the Rule 5? I thought we put him on waivers like 3 days after we initially signed him and he cleared, thus since he cleared waivers he doesn't need a 40-man spot right? He doesn't need to be on the 40 man to stay on the Cubs all year, but anybody not on the 40 man can be drafted in Rule 5. It's unlikely seeing as he was available for nothing to teams with no roster limitations(being on 25 man all year) just 3 months ago, but it's happened before. Andy Fox was signed to a minor league deal a few years back then drafted in rule 5 about a week later.
  9. And we will be getting Bertand back here soon. Even more depth I wouldn't be shocked to see him redshirt. We've already got 5 guards in the rotation, and Weber seems willing to go with Cole at the 3.
  10. And everyone has scored.
  11. Why did I think Simpson was bigger? He's friggin wiry.
  12. Just about Bubba time.
  13. The guy is 6 foot 8, he shouldn't be able to just shoot right over you Tis.
  14. Tisdale is so goofy looking.
  15. Those 2 situations weren't really the same.
  16. I really enjoy that the Cubs are giving up (easily) the best player in the trade, and are paying money to go with him.
  17. Yahoo has a box score. And Purdue is strugggggggggggling.
  18. The bottom of the Big 10 might cost Wisconsin an at-large due to RPI.
  19. guys, this isn't a 3 million brick house we're putting together one brick at a time. It's not like you have to build a minor leauge system to build the program. You need 9 or so good players to compete. Two good recruiting classes gets you back into the mix of things, and Crean has already acquired one good class. Why doesn't he have interest from a talented post player all the way through the 2011 class? I wasn't expecting the man to have IU back in the top 25 this year or next year......but I do expect them to be close by the 2011-2012 season. You use Kentucky and Bama as examples. Are you trying to tell me that Calipari won't have UK back into the top 10 by 2010-2011 if it doesn't happen this year? Are you trying to tell me that Coach friggin Nick Saban didn't bring Alabama back to where they were accustomed in 2 years? Neither situation is exactly analogous. When Calipari took the job, Kentucky returned a five-star and a four-star power forward, a four-star point guard, a four-star small forward, and a few three-star guys, plus already had at least a four-star shooting guard and a five-star center lined up (I'm a little fuzzy if any other recruits were holdovers from Gillispie). Indiana returned a walk-on and had a three-star shooting guard and power forward lined up. That and hiring a known cheater is what put Indiana in their current situation. You want to see how low a program can get?
  20. I'd have to think that'd get it done. I wonder if whoever it was that pushed for Wells in Rule 5 is still there.
  21. I can't believe somebody gave something up for him. I get the feeling teams are going to be kicking themselves when they see some of the names out there after the non-tender deadline.
  22. Some 2 star KU football recruit started a fight with him, so he had to leave before meeting with Self. Seems rushed, I think a Mangino screaming at him joke would've played better. I promised I'd make a joke about it earlier. It was sloppy to be sure.
  23. Where'd Grabow finish?
