Either it's the new freshmen, or the team was really, really embarrassed by those PSU performances last year. Having multiple guards who can penetrate gets everyone fouled. Themselves, obviously, along with the bigs when you dish to them after the help comes. We haven't had the ability to penetrate since '04-'05

With all the b.s. surrounding Mangino right now, it sure is nice that basketball is up and running. Dammit, I wish I made a football players showing up to fight Beal joke. Next time.

Damn. Well that'll do it. You want him gone or no? I can't remember which side of the fence you're on. I don't necessarily want him gone unless that stuff is true. But his leash has gotten way shorter after this disaster of a season, which reshaped my perception of him as a coach. This team, at the worst, should have been 7-5. We'll be lucky to go 6-6 at this point. It was a total failure for the coaching staff. Take this with a grain of salt. A player have filed a formal complaint that he was choked and verbally abused by Mangino. A few of the other players have stated the same. He's been told to resign by Thursday or he will be publically fired. I'm good friends with a former KState running back who played under Mangino. He tells me Mangino is the biggest piece of crap in college football. FWIW. literally.

He's ignorant. Making crap up to defend Sampson last year. During Deron's junior year he said that Williams wouldn't be a top ten guard in the ACC. Good call Jay, it's hard to be better than Redick and Paulus. He owned up to how wrong he was on Deron. He was biased on Sampson cause they did some overseas thing together. I'll always remember him for his call of the Arizona game. Save the train for Digger.

and i did. you guys are/were hilarious. what is that from, two years ago? IU did nothing with Gordon. Sampson is effectively banned from coaching NCAA forever. IU is an absolute train-wreck. you pretty much got everything you wanted. why are you still mad? Who's angry? I'm just enjoying the angst.

Well the current offensive coordinator was brought in after being fired for doing a far worse job at less of a name football program. I'd be all for Weis as Bears O coordinator. I'm not out to defend Weis, I think he should be gone, but that 3-9 season was largely due to not having competent upperclassmen to lead the team. You roll out a 3-9 season, no matter what the circumstances, and it stings your profile a bit, with recruits, with alumni, with media, whomever. It's tough to recover from.

Wells and Jones over Coghlan??? Hanson will be good/great, but I don't think he was good enough to merit the award. Coghlan is the man, and absolutely deserves the honor. Wells is a flash in the pan, I know I am the only one on this board with that feeling though. It's not a best future career award. Wells and Happ both deserved it over Coghlan.

Looking at that replay on 360 I think they're right. I couldn't get a look on replay, all I saw was that 2 Kentucky players stupidly were up in the guys face. If this amount of talent was on most top 20 teams, I'd think they were scary, but I just don't see this team growing much under Calipari.
