  1. Talor Battle has never lost a Big 10/ACC Challenge game.
  2. Why? Who bothers to hate Penn State?
  3. Sorry to interrupt since I don't have a damn clue about anything, but what do you guys make of the Ireland situation?
  4. How is that big dude on PSU gassed 2 minutes into the half?
  5. I think it would be...
  6. I think this is a point in his favor, that he consistently has capable assistants.
  7. Since they've only had 10 BCS teams for what, 3 years now, no, never happened. Well yeah, but the top I'm quite certain the top 8 never were in it together either.
  8. It's possible that the top 10 teams would be the 10 BCS teams. There's no way that's ever happened.
  9. You show me a player that said this and I will agree with you. People seemed to infer something along those lines from comments that came out after Bradley was suspended.
  10. http://www.hascharlieweisbeenfired.com/ Needs an update.
  11. When asked afterwards, the UCLA coaches and players didn't have a problem with it. If you don't want the game extended, don't call time outs. This is much ado about nothing. A lot of Bruin fans whining. Of course, when you lose nine of the last ten to the Trojans, a much better football program, I guess their misguided frustration is understandable, if not justified. Next time don't call time outs. I love watching you make a fool of yourself whenever USC is brought up. Why don't you enjoy it at other times?
  12. I'd much prefer to lose out to Florida than Kansas.
  13. Well that sucks.
  14. You haven't spelled his name right for even longer. Eh, I usually remember it is Hummel. I almost edited it but I am tired. Plus, who cares about him anyway.
  15. was he your favorite player in 1989 you dick Yeah, what the hell is wrong with you rocket??

  17. He'd never get my vote just because of how awful the DH rule is to me. The voters seem to be a pretty conservative bunch and I'm sure there are plenty who hate the DH as much as me. The DH to me is like voting for a non-kicker/punter ST's player in the NFL. Were they really good at that particular part of the game? Of course but every HOFer and even many non-HOFer's would have been just as good or better if they got to play on ST's/DH. Imagine what Griffey could have done if he didn't have to play the field once he go to Cinci or Bonds once his knee started to fail. Every pretty good hitter could have done as well or better than Martinez if they got to play only DH just as Ray Lewis would dominate if he played ST's. not at all. there's been plenty of full time dh's who don't come close to approaching edgar's production. using that logic, pitchers in the al shouldn't be eligible for the hall. Where did I say everyone who plays DH can do what Edgar did? I said every good hitter could. There are 10-20 players in his era that could have put up equally impressive statistics if they only played DH. Some did put up equally productive numbers even while playing the field. Edgar was a very good hitter but there are an abundance of players who were comparable hitters, while playing the field, and aren't in the HOF or even really considered. Basically if you are going to only play half the game you should be head and shoulders above everyone else in that part of the game. He only had 3 seasons where he had a batting or OBP title and only one season of 30+ HR's. His most similar career on baseball-reference is Will Clark. Anyone think he is a HOFer? Will Clark should have gotten a lot more support than he did. I wouldn't be outraged with him as a HOFer. The problem with that is Clark picks up some serious value with his defense.
  18. How is what I said embarassing? How many weekends did we have like this under Self or Kruger? Hell we didn't even have weekends like this under Lon when he was having to rebuild the program. Weber's 44 - 30 since Bill Self's recruits left town...59% winning percentage, nothing to write home about for somebody coaching Illinois. It's also been 4 years since he won an NCAA Tournament game. I maybe in the minority here, but I just don't think the guy is that good of a coach. Actively rooting for a stud recruit to go to another program. Flat out making stuff up regarding the freshmen. Weber is starting 2 freshmen guards over 2 juniors, and you're freaking out that he's benching Paul when he gets out of control. I can't stand Jordan's offense as much as you can't, but you can't have Paul out there driving in and throwing up terrible shots, all while playing suspect defense. These losses SUCKED but you have us out of the tournament because of one bad weekend? You don't think we'll make the NIT because of 2 early season losses? Lon Kruger was a very good coach, but I don't believe he was going to be able to recruit at a level to keep us good when Peoria dried up. Bill Self was a very good coach, but was likely to cause issues with the NCAA if he stayed on(strictly my opinion) You(and many other Illinois fans) need to get over this BFF Bill Self thing. The way you talk about him is as twisted as those fans that turn him into Satan. He's the ex that treated you like [expletive] that you keep crawling back to for one night, and then she steals your wallet on the way out. Part of the reason recruiting went where it did is because of your boy grabbing the studs that he had been in on before ducking town. Webster did the same thing at Kentucky. I'm not implying that there's anything wrong with them doing it(though if Webster was recruiting for Kentucky while on our payroll, obviously it's an issue), but it's a big reason why we whiffed on so many. Weber may not be the guy for the job, but you're freaking out because of 2 bad losses. These losses happen to every program.(Even your boy Bill has his list of losses to mid-majors) If the recruiting hadn't turned around, I'd be leading the charge with my pitchfork held high. But recruiting has turned around, and even though Weber is a bit of a dork, and not a slick salesman, he is the one who brought these kids in. He's the one who the kids are coming to play for. I'd say you owe it to him to coach his recruits that are on the level of those St. Bill brought in to the program. I just can't believe somebody can beat the Bruce is a horrible coach drum so soon after last season. So many issues people have with Weber appear to be cosmetic. Oh, he's dorky, he has a bad voice, he has marker on his face, he doesn't run the ball up and down the court. Everyone makes the Self toupee jokes, I really wonder if he'd have the same cult of Illini fans if he didn't have it. A bald hillbilly isn't quite as appealing to the masses.
  19. Dawson's getting in this year, he's too close not to. That combined with a lack of slam dunk HOFers(in the voters minds) and continued steroid backlash should send him in. I'll say 79%
  20. At least Utah is showing they're a decent team against OSU.
  21. Embarrassing. The loss and IG.
  22. Any Illinois fans looking for the game, here's the link. I had to refresh about 10 times before I got through. Stream is nice once you get in. http://events.hooptv.net/
  23. I just put money on Illinois -8 for tonight. This was probably dumb.
  24. FSU WR Fortson just made 2 great catches in a row. Mea Culpa, Tebow is occassionally capable of throwing the ball more than 1 yard in front of him.
