  1. I kinda like the brown plaid one.
  2. Prove that Derrek Lee didn't have a great year due to Milton Bradley's presence. Oh my lord. So now we've reached a point where anything at all that can't be disproven must consequently be true. Actually scratch we, and replace with you. I don't think I'd throw that blanket over anyone else here. How is this a less likely scenario than the Cubs losing because Milton Bradley is a jerk? Why can't a player channel his anger towards some guy positively? It seems just as likely as explaining Soriano and Ramirez's injuries being due to Milton Bradley's mere presence.
  3. Prove that Derrek Lee didn't have a great year due to Milton Bradley's presence.
  4. How many World Series did your 4 examples win? Absolutely ZERO. Interesting argument there. So what you are saying is players that are noted as being the cause of negativity may create good careers for themselves but poor team (or group) success. Thanks for proving my point. Haha, the Red Sox didn't win a world series because of Ted Williams. That's one hell of a point.
  5. I [expletive] hate Cub fans.
  6. They're gonna need to win on the road to do that. Iowa at home is the only game Pomeroy has them favored in, but that's before the Minnesota game. It'd probably have to be a sweep of Iowa, win at PSU, beat NU at home.
  7. Well if a Cubs' player and an internet poster are expressing opposing views on the nature of the Cubs' clubhouse, there is indeed a credibility issue to consider. Ryan Theriot is probably an idiot, and Mojo probably isn't. When old school managers talk about the need for small ball, am I not allowed to question them because they're a baseball manager and I'm not? Obviously they'd know what wins game? When a GM says RBI is the stat he values most, do I assume I must be the idiot for discounting it since he's a professional GM and I'm not? That crazy positive clubhouse force, Scott Eyre was a part of the embarrassing 2006 team. Somehow the Cubs record improved in 2008 after the lovable scamp was traded away to Philly.
  8. Does it help if I tell you, the Celtics weren't at full strength?
  9. this Yeah, other than his not so subtle jealousy of Sammy, he's pretty much awesome. How? He's a terrible broadcaster, and a fratboy douchebag.
  10. He never said Murton was great, he just thinks Dye is awful.
  11. Mark Grace is a stupid douchebag
  12. Say good bye to Norm Chow. He's being targeting as well. Swing and a miss
  13. How many names and seasons from the last seven years or so could you plug into that sentence to describe Cardinal players, though? I dunno, like 2?
  14. How the hell did Pitt lose to Indiana?
  15. Kiffin getting hammered already. Awesome.
  16. He still does... they're the same every decade. Real creative Ernie. He should have his kid taken away.
  17. Ryno will teach our guys to hold the bat right side up and stop running to 3rd base after they make contact. Fundamentals? What garbage.
  18. Curling and short track speed skating bitches
  19. Yes. His entire family moved to Knoxville. Little brother is enrolled at Farragut. Also, Mr. SEC SUUUCCKS. Isn't Hyams the primary UT writer there? Volquest is absolutely worth $10 a month. Volsbitch.com is free, incredibly irreverent, and a good site for entertainment and pretty solid info. You should look into one of those. Best info on Tennessee athletics on the web. Considering nearly all of your inside scoops have been wrong, maybe you should find a new site.
  20. Kiffin seems like a strange hire for a school trying to stay in the NCAAs good graces
  21. It's the fact that it was a joint press release with MLB that gets my attention. There are comments about it below the release, but this is legal manuevering and an admission that the Marlins were taking revenue sharing money and doing nothing with it. Jeff Loria is satan.
  22. http://www.baseballthinkfactory.org/files/newsstand/discussion/mlb_press_release_florida_marlins_mlbpa_mlb_on_revenue_sharing_provisions/ Really interesting stuff here.
  23. He should've retired after his story on his father and Bobby Fischer. He's awful.
  24. Misquoted. Hardcorecubfan said that. I honestly don't think there is a single Cubs fan out there who doesn't think Sosa didn't juice. Since he tested positive in 03 it's really not a matter of opinion anymore. False positive IMO
