    I wouldn't call that "more than realistic. There's a cap to what major league teams are worth. Assuming linear increases is foolish.

    Rob, I read through the source material and didn't see anything regarding bunts. If they are considered ground balls in the calculation, I'd imagine this would affect the numbers for all pitchers as well as a guy like Campana.

    Votto's basically it. He'll be a free agent in the 2013 offseason and will turn 31 during the 2014 season (the first year we'd have him). If you really want Votto in 2014, I'm pretty sure you could find a taker for Prince Fielder in a trade.

    Mackanin managed the Iowa Cubs for 2 full seasons. If he was fired(rather than leaving to take another job for the 1990 season) it may have been because he went 62-82 in that 2nd season.

ETA: And my link For those who don't know, the 25 Ws represents that Wichita has 25 games where they have a better than 50% chance of winning, but obviously if you have a 51% chance of winning each game, that's not going to equal an undefeated season, so the final record is the individual %s combined to equal an estimate on their total wins.
