    More people need to talk about the MacPhail compensation because that's a perfect comparison to this situation. Anything more than a low-A ball player is a good deal for the Sox and more than they should receive. The morons in the media are too busy feeding into the SOSH logic of him CHANGING THE FACE OF THE FRANCHISE to understand much of anything about the process.

If you have an issue with what I said you haven't articulated it yet. Sickles is the guy who's fired up about their farm. I'm pretty sure I described his comments correctly. If you don't like it, take it up with him. It's not a prerequisite to hate the Cardinals in order to like the Cubs. You've just made it an art form. Fired up about your farm.

    If you go to the actual post at Chicago Now Cubs Insider and not Cubbies Crib, you will see that there never was mention of Kenney being fired, just that he wouldn't remain Pres, well they brought in a new Pres, and gave Crane a BS co-presidency IMHO I read all about this in Mariotti's Trib article long before it hit Chicago Now

    Do most fans criticize him? I know the voices that do are loud (Sullivan/Rozner/Kaplan), but when I've attended games there Ramirez is always among the most applauded players. He doesn't take the onslaught of boos that Soriano does. Yes. The Ramirez is lazy and doesn't hit when it matters idea is very prevalent among the standard Cubs fan. It's infuriating.

    I think it's pretty awesome too, but I'll bet none of these "kids" were considered cool when they were in school. I'm glad we have the not "cool" kids running our team rather than the meathead athletes who would've have been "cool". Did you guys all go to high school in an 80s movie?

    I'd imagine Pujols has a decent idea of what kind of contract they'll be offering him. He told Drunky LaShingles that he won't be coming back. LaRussa ran and hid.

    Pujols may not have been affected by LaRussa's status, but LaRussa may have been affected by Pujols's status. Yeah, this is how I look at it. Which is why I said somewhere earlier that LaRussa's decision may have been influenced by Pujols' decision (if he's made one). Unless ownership has gone to Tony and said they don't have the money or won't spend the money necessary to bring Pujols back, this is dubious. Yeah, it's not like Pujols and LaRussa had a close relationship.
