    Mauer was voted by the players. I said that if he wasn't and the Twins had a rep, Ozzie would not take him. So, your claim has absolutely no validity whatsoever. There's no reason to think Mauer would not have been taken. What's next in your list of ridiculous claims against the Sox? I'm guessing... 1. Ozzie will pitch Papelbon all nine innings. 2. Kenny Williams is a cannibal and ate Joe Mauer in order to prevent his playing in the ASG. 3. TIGERS R AMA ZING 4. Ozzie is a cyborg. To be fair, there was a direct quote from Guillen that he would take all his players after fulfilling the 1 player from each team need. I don't think it's absurd to think he'd pass over Mauer for another one of his players.

    Good thing ND has a time machine to find out which historically good teams would have bad years. That way they can keep their tough scheduling charade going. Let's burn the school down and then make them join a conference.

    That Hafner trade is flat our robbery. The Beltran trade ranges from okayish to great depending on if it's a keeper leauge, and your need in the OF.

    I have no idea. There is a chance he's below average, but it is left field, and if he is, it's not a major concern, and if was (hypothetically) the thing that prevented Hendry from getting Dunn, I'd be pissed. Agreed, though I think the time to get Dunn was when O' Brien was in Cincy, as Krivsky seems to be mildly intelligent. O' Brien seemed the type to see a 220 something BA and look to deal quickly.

    What does average matter? Nothing. It does matter a little bit. A single is better than a walk. And both are better than an out. Dunn makes significantly fewer outs while hitting for the same power. He's better. That's what I said a few posts ago. Saying average doesn't matter at all though is foolish. A single is better than a walk. Average matters very little compared to OBP and SLG. Using it as a means to try to rip Dunn, which is what Neuby was doing, is foolish. That's fine, but goony is wrong for saying it has no value. Don't even try to tell me a walk is just as good as a single. Foolish or not I don't want a guy who's production is soley based on the long ball. Dunn doesn't hit 4 any kind of average , strike outs a ton, no speed, and can't play anywhere but first base badly at that . Is that enough to rip Dunn? There's no way he's worth 3 of are top prospects as comapared to Lee. His production isn't solely based on the long ball. And just because once or twice you've seen Adam Dunn misjudge a flyball doesn't mean he's an absolute butcher out there. And Dunn, even though it really matters very little, has good speed...amazing speed if you consider his size. I thought Dunn performed poorly in fielding metrics as well(which admittedly I have little respect for)

    I did this in my 16 inch league last summer and hooked it about 5 feet foul over the HR fence. Then they just rolled the ball to me instead. So by the transitive property I = Miguel Cabrera.

    If you want to hire a better manager than Dusty, you don't need Ozzie Guillen for that. A drunken orangutan would suffice. C'mon, that's way out of line and uncalled for. A sober orangutan yes, but to say a drunken one is just ridiculous. He manages better when he's had a few.
