Generally, I think comparing across sports is a bad idea. "Soft" in a contact sport like basketball and football is a lot more believable than "soft" in baseball. I see the same comparisons when people are trying to talk about how important chemistry or clutch is in sports, and they reference football or basketball to prove it in baseball.

It doesn't matter either way he'll be roasted by those who made up their minds on him over a year ago. DKWG managed to find a way to frame Prior's "putting his head between his legs" as him being overly cocky. Others will frame it as him not caring.(We call this the Corey Patterson method of hatred.) If he got pissed and said he'll prove them wrong and pitch his way back, well obviously he's a spoiled brat who doesn't think his results should affect whether he's demoted or not. "I'm Mark Prior!!! Do you know who I am? You don't dare demote me!!"

I don't disagree with you, but I honestly thing if Z REALLY WANTED to pitch for the Cubs, he'd take whatever legit offer we gave him. I know it would be rough to live on 15 million instead of 16 million (He'd have to wait another year before he could buy a small tropical island). I hate when I see stuff like this. It's arguing that you shouldn't have the power to negotiate for more money if you are A. happy where you are and B. richer than most people. Why not look at it the other way? If the (far richer) Tribune Corporation REALLY WANTED Z, they'd take whatever legit offer Z came up with. I know it would be rough to live on 1.49 Billion instead of 1.5(They'd have to wait another week before having the GDP of the Dominican.)

I too picked the Kent St. to the elite 8. I still tell people about that, and they still don't care. I was on Butler both times they had their upsets, UWM to the sweet 16 and Bucknell beating Kansas.

Illinois has only won 9ish 1st round games in a row, I don't think that's what he's talking about.

Hate bringing up the Stanford debate again. Especially after we all have Duke losing to celebrate. But, I had Duke in the sweet 16 and I have to defend my boys. Simply taking out Illinois's easiest games and replacing them with the hardest ones is disingenuous. If you wanna compare apples to apples then give Illinois a balanced schedule as well which would put them at 11-9 with added home wins against Purdue and PSU.

I love the potential for #1s losing in the 2nd round with the exception of OSU.(Who happens to be my only 1 in the Final 4.) Arizona has incredible talent, and if they could ever get it together they should take down Florida. If Reynolds gets hot, they can take down Kansas, and if Neitzel gets hot, NC's going down.

I have a hard time seeing them getting past MSU without McNeal, nevermind UNC in Winston-Salem. My heart said MSU, but my head told me I overrated the Big 10 enough in the rest of my picks, so MSU had to lose. They also hinge way too much on one player for me to like taking them more than a game.

I have UNC falling to Marquette. I'm pretty sure I picked this on accident, but I'm too superstitious to go back and change it. And I intended to have them out in the next round anyways.

Everybody loves Georgetown and Texas as their "surprise" teams. Which guarantees neither will do anything.

I don't suppose anybody has a way for me to watch these games at work tomorrow after they've blocked sportsline for the sole purpose of stopping me from watching it. Anybody know of any mirror sites that would be hosting the games?

pretty close to what I have. And hopefully people don't have Southern Illinois going too far, since they'll be out in Round One. :D I actually have that.
