  1. I'm starting to wonder how much longer I can read Prior/Wood threads without having myself committed.
  2. Let's all jump on sweetpete's back for his post which wasn't even in response to Vance and was instead trying to point tkenm to the likely location of thepost he was looking for
  3. I hate Joakim Noah like I hate the plague. And I hate the plague.
  4. I think I'd go as far to say I hate Baseball Tonight.
  5. Horford Horford Horford. LAMARCUS!!
  6. Elite 8s remaining: UCLA, Ohio St., A&M, Kansas, Florida, USC. I'll take Oregon and Vandy in the other games.
  7. Have I mentioned I hate Aaron Gray yet? Cause I do. He's just a big oaf.
  8. I too picked the Kent St. to the elite 8. I still tell people about that, and they still don't care. I was on Butler both times they had their upsets, UWM to the sweet 16 and Bucknell beating Kansas.
  9. I hate watching Aaron Gray play. He's a big oaf. I picked Wright St. in this game. So that makes me, Rocket, and that's about it. In the world.
  10. Greg Paulus is a terrible point guard and McRoberts is a child.
  11. Illinois has only won 9ish 1st round games in a row, I don't think that's what he's talking about.
  12. Hate bringing up the Stanford debate again. Especially after we all have Duke losing to celebrate. But, I had Duke in the sweet 16 and I have to defend my boys. Simply taking out Illinois's easiest games and replacing them with the hardest ones is disingenuous. If you wanna compare apples to apples then give Illinois a balanced schedule as well which would put them at 11-9 with added home wins against Purdue and PSU.
  13. Yeah not admitting when there was an injury to a guy has worked wonders in the past.
  14. I love the potential for #1s losing in the 2nd round with the exception of OSU.(Who happens to be my only 1 in the Final 4.) Arizona has incredible talent, and if they could ever get it together they should take down Florida. If Reynolds gets hot, they can take down Kansas, and if Neitzel gets hot, NC's going down.
  15. I have a hard time seeing them getting past MSU without McNeal, nevermind UNC in Winston-Salem. My heart said MSU, but my head told me I overrated the Big 10 enough in the rest of my picks, so MSU had to lose. They also hinge way too much on one player for me to like taking them more than a game.
  16. I have UNC falling to Marquette. I'm pretty sure I picked this on accident, but I'm too superstitious to go back and change it. And I intended to have them out in the next round anyways.
  17. Everybody loves Georgetown and Texas as their "surprise" teams. Which guarantees neither will do anything.
  18. I don't suppose anybody has a way for me to watch these games at work tomorrow after they've blocked sportsline for the sole purpose of stopping me from watching it. Anybody know of any mirror sites that would be hosting the games?
  19. pretty close to what I have. And hopefully people don't have Southern Illinois going too far, since they'll be out in Round One. :D I actually have that.
  20. UCLA over OSU.
  21. FAMU was complaining? Niagara was the team that had the gripe. i thought it was FAMU. Maybe I was wrong Oh, I didn't read any quotes. I didn't mean you were wrong, I meant that if one team had a right to complain, it was definitely Niagara. In my paper, Niagra was definitely complaining-I do agree, there were definitely a few teams that were worse than them during the season-I'm not sure why there were relegated to the play-in game. Well, evidently the NCAA selection committee has been quoted as saying they don't want a SWAC-MEAC match-up in the play in game for political reasons. I haven't heard or read the quote, but it's been reported. If so, then Niagara was the unfortunate victim. Still, even if that's true, it still shouldn't have been Niagara -- they probably were a 15-seed. That was my original thought as well that it looked disrespectful to put the 2 historically black schools in the play in game. I had Jackson St. as the worst team in the tourney though.
  22. I had both Niagra and Florida A&M as 15 seeds.
  23. Indiana is still getting in over Illinois. They each have no bad losses, and Indiana has the better wins-wins over Wisconsin and Southern Illinois, while Illinois doesn't have that sort of win on their resume (both teams have a win over Michigan State, Illinois has 2 wins over IU, IU one over Illinois, IU has a win over Purdue while Illinois does not). That puts IU higher on the pecking order than Illinois. Could the fact that the BTT tournament was in the United Center come back to haunt the Illini? The committee could see that it was almost a home game in each of their two close wins-they might factor that it when deciding how much of a neutral site it really was. You can call it a home game agaisnt PSU, but I have hard time seeing the argument vs. IU and Wisconsin.
  24. I have it coming in advance for my first 10 posts about college basketball when U of I gets snubbed tomorrow.
