    That's unrealistic... Prior can rebound and Suppan isn't likely to shut anyone out. Mark just needs to calm down and get his location back. he meant Prior shutting out the Cards. Hello, I knew that. my point is 3 runs given up by Prior doesnt mean the game is over... No, but it's a good indication that it likely is.

    wtf, grieve? have you SEEN is minor league batting average?! he's worthless, why else do you think no other team wants him? and todd wellemeyer doesn't have the intensity to be a major leaguer. but if the reds will bite, i say go for it.

    The only thing that concerns me is that Wood's worst stuff seems to be when he's pitching in the 1st and 2nd inning. 3rd-7th inning Wood is dominating though.

    Wood is expensive. Wood's list of teams he would accept a trade to is probably only around 5. Cubs won't trade Wood unless they can get value for him. So keep this in mind with Wood trade proposals. It'd have to be to a team that Wood would accept, a team that can afford him, and a team that is willing to give up players we want for an injury prone, expensive pitcher. With all that in mind, let's hear some reasonable Wood deals.

    You have to wonder when you read that stuff...are Cinci fans so much more intelligent than the Reds' management? Apparently not. I could probably pick out a post here and there and show it to other team's fans, giving them a less-than-favorable outlook on the intelligence of Cubs fans.

    Stop telling posters to stop suggesting trades. People are entitled to suggest trades regardless of how likely they are. I was implying to not put out Kerry Wood trade ideas. Thanks for chopping out the sentence preceding that.

    IMO = in my opinion sticky means that the thread stays on top of the page, no matter what. usually reserved for important threads.

    WOOD HAS A NO TRADE CLAUSE. While, technically, he can still be traded, it's simply not likely. Consider these factors: 1. There's maybe 5 teams Wood would accept a trade to, and I think I'm being very liberal with this guess. 2. Of those 5 possible teams only, they still have to provide the players that Hendry wants to move Wood. And, sorry, they aren't going to give up much for an expensive, injury-prone pitcher. Unless you want Hendry to get Farnsworth'd again. KERRY WOOD WILL REMAIN A CUB. STOP PUTTING OUT TRADE IDEAS.

    neifi is 7th among nl shortstops in rbi and 8th in runs scored. even team-based stats show neifi is below average. if you think neifi is doing "quite well" offensively, i can't wait to see the words you use to describe lee's season.
